If he listens and learns and he's given a chance, that could be great news.

Smiffy, I get where you're coming from, I just hope you're wrong.

I also hope that I'm wrong, as a sober and focussed Lee Cattermole would be a great addition to almost every squad in the Premier League.

The drinker who gets barred from pubs and clubs throughout the north east, wrecks cars on Stowell Street and presents completely the wrong example to the younger professionals at our club is a different matter altogether.

I hope the first Lee Cattermole has been knocking on PDC's door and convincing him that he has finally grown up and accepts the resposibility off the pitch that goes with Premier League wages.

Agree with you Cest.
I also think his footballing skills are under rated.
But for some he could make numerous good passes and one bad pass and the only thing mentioned is the bad one.

If the referees did their job properly and made decisions on the FACTS not on reputation he wouldn't have had so many cards.
The reputation bit does help against the opposition mind, as you can see their MF's looking about in terror and saying to themselves." Oh **** where is he?" :p

hes over there walking to the dressing room.

Almost without exception since he's been at the club, we are a better team when he's playing than when he's not. The issue has always been that he isn't available enough. If fit and not banned, he could make up a great deep-lying central 2 with Cabral.
