I'm getting one done on Wednesday at SpaMedica in Gateshead.
I must admit I wasn't keen on the idea of having someone poking in my eyes with just a local anaesthetic, but I've spoken to quite a few folks who have had the same op and they unanimously agree it's absolutely painless and even better than visiting the dentist.
I'll update on Thursday!
The last dentist pulled my wisdom tooth out and my spine with it <laugh><laugh><laugh>

I’m having an assessment there for viability of lense replacement next week. Had one eye done a few years ago at Sunderland eye hospital - piece of cake. Made an incredible difference. Couldn’t believe the distance and clarity I could see.
