Cats aren't like dogs where they need litter trained, they just know to use the tray somehow. Ours used to hiss at us when she was a kitten but we were told to make sure that we picked her up etc. and she's as good as gold now.
They train themselves fella. Not like dogs. Literally all you need to do is put them in a fresh litter tray and they'll remember its a great way to piss and ****. Job done. However, if you pick up an adult rescue cat that has been used to ****ting where ever, you may never be able to stop them doing it where ever in your home.
Well let's say I get an adult cat from a rescue centre. How long does it generally take them to get to know a new area? If I got one I'd like one of those magnetic flaps put in the door so it can just come & go. Jerry's got one of them & her cat just does as it pleases. I'm really keen on this.
I moved just under 3 weeks ago and my outdoor cats are still indoors, going to let them out today, should be two weeks but I'm being safe. Your cat will have to get used to new ownership as well as new surroundings, as well as getting over any trauma you've saved it from. So I'd keep them in three to four weeks, then just let em out. Do it too early they won't realise who their owner is or their home and they may not come back.
Up at the house in the jungle we have one cat and three dogs.s. The cat is a ginger **** that goes missing more than colback. Ive never seen the ****er for ages, but apparently he.s still around. Just does his own ****. Dogs. One part retriever, the big stupid twat. Paws like a ****ing polar bear. He.s a loon, but my favourite. Another, a white terrier type, dont think that **** likes me. But hr.s useful for the snakes. Last one is a smallish furball. Blind in one eye after it got ran over. Soft as **** but a yappy ****er. Have to keep it, its the bairns favourite. They called it nam tan. Which translates into brown. Aye it is brown. How ****ing original.
Cats generally hate it fella. I've never managed to get a cat to accept one. Though I've read plenty do. Trial and error.
Would never take a cat for a walk (personal choice) and I also got rid of the cat flap as he kept bring all sorts of live/half alive/dead animals into the kitchen. I was clearing up blood weekly. Now he has to wait outside to be let in like everyone else in the house!!
Depends on the cat fella. My tabby wants nowt to do with other cats while my black cat want's to find cats just to fight them.
Unless you have a cat the size of a small horse, which daft ****s take one out for a walk on a leash. May aswell get **** tattooed across your forehead.
I can't tell you how... but I can tell you that nobody cares about the spaghetti hoops on toast you had for dinner last night
