I don't agree with a lot of what Razil comes out with, but fair play to anyone who gives up their own time for no publicity to stand for election. Its not easy to get no publicity and to put yourself forward for election, because you are not in the limelight with everyone giving you attention. Fair play to all 3 for standing for election and doing it in a low-key, non attention seeking way that doesn't draw attention to themselves constantly.
Wiseman was wrong in what he said, but I'm giving him some leeway in view of the service he's given the Trust over the years, so won't be supporting calls for his head.
I wonder if the Dutton withdrawal is anything to do with the possibility of the new owners not coming from Australia?
What?? But he said it's due to his heavy workload! Nothing to do with the impending Aussie withdrawal, or the negative reaction to his being parachuted into the board.
Ah, I see. Since being co-opted, he's decided to write another book to go with the first book he wrote on the same subject. Must be a nightmare with all that research. Clearly this would have an adverse effect on his ability to be a board member of the Trust, what with the exhaustive schedule they've had over the passed few months.
@Slackbladder If we did get a Middle Eastern Takeover, do you think we would get a Fan’s Representative on the Board. Or maybe that was an “idea” unique to the Aussies ?
It's a lame idea. Only an owner desperate to please and very poorly advised would adopt it. I hope we get new owners who are serious about running the Club properly, not indulging in gimmicks. We had enough of that with Meire's crackpot attempts to engage with fans.
