I'm not overly bothered about sponsors, but it's annoyingly similar to last year. I mean Umbro, Diadora and Avec (whoever they are) made us plenty of different stripey shirts over the years and I can distinctly remember key differences between them. We also tend to alternate between stripes and plain shirts, which gives a nice change. This is pretty much the same as last years, just with a dodgy collar instead of dodgy stripes.

One of my favourite kits was the 07/08 one. Home and away were both very nice and bring back great memories!

Have to agree with most on here shirt not too bad but addidas have let us down again when we have seen some of the other teams templates we could of gone with. The image of the city by the media and even some of our own fans is not great but when the football club sponsor is a pawnbroker cant see it changing anytime soon.As for this been our biggest sponsor deal ever think that says it all about firms wanting to invest in the tigers.

<ok> Agree completely. That sponsor to me just says poor northerners, nicked gear and smackheads. Very poor effort. I like the spin they've used by calling Cash Converters a 'brand'. Brand my arse!:emoticon-0101-sadsm

Bad error of judgement by Mark Maguire to have ever tried to get cash converters as sponsor, he should have devoted his energy to finding a more suitable company for the club and the sake of our image as a city. He will no doubt argue other clubs were trying to get cash converters as their sponsor, however, may be those clubs were not from a city trying to correct an unfair image of a poor downtrodden place. His comparison with ebay in Mail was not correct, as I don't think ebay offer easy credit terms to the poor at extoranate 478% rates. They also offer loans against vehicle logbooks which have following example rates on their website

Total amount of credit Total amount payable %APR Representative Fixed annual interest rate Duration Installments
    £1,150 £3317.34 478.30% 125.64% 78 weeks 78 x £42.53
This type of loan is a new consumer scandal starting to hit and was featured on BBC Watchdog recently due to the fact that the loans often dont need to appear on hp checks and they are against the vehicle. So the borrower can sell the vehicle, default and the vehicle is re-possed from the new owner who loses his vehicle which is sold to pay the scumbag's extortionate loan back to a company such as cash converters. I dont remember if Cash Converters were specifically named in the programme but it was the type of loan that they offer (logbook) which was being featured for the problems caused to innocent second hand car buyers.
We don't want City fans sucked into these type of loans fans need to be aware not to touch them. I predict that ultimately the club will reputationally be badly bitten by this association with cash converters.

Don't like the look of the badge. Looks like they've just stuck it on last minute without properly designing it.

As for the sponsor, it;s complete tatty ****e and will not do anything but add to the crap our fair city gets. The only thing remedies this is it's money coming in from a company that's solvent. At least it isn't someone like Sportscard.

No it won't. It's no worse than any of the horrendous betting sites and WONGA and the like. It's crap and we all know it's crap but apart from a bit of banter, if anyone even cares enough to banter with us, it's just money in the bank.

It seems that we won't be hitting the seven-figure sum unless we get promoted, so maybe it's not as good a financial deal than it looks.

We have to go for the money so don't have much option. My own opinion is that it looks like a double-breasted pyjama top. My Vietnamese friends at our local market will have a 'cover version' of this abortion in the next month for about 15 bucks (9 quid) so I'll have a look at theirs. Wouldn't buy this one.

Just a small point, with the old sponsors being online betting the logo wasn't allowed on Children's shirts.
Will they be allowed on these?

No, but you will be able to exchange your child for this year's shirt. If you want your child back at a later date then you will have to pay for a vice-presidency at the club.

Ah, the irony of logbook loans being hyperlinked in that post.

I have looked up Cash Convertors on the internet, It is a national company, not just for "poor northerers", with branches in many towns and cities around the country. Eastbourne and Cambridge to name just two. I don't suppose I will ever do business with them, but I have never supported our last sponsor as I do not bet. If the money helps the Club, great. Will I buy the shirt, I will answer that when I see the shirt in the tigers shop.
Just a point, I think a short sleeve version will look much better than the long sleeve version shown in HDM and on this forum.

To be fair, I never used totesport. Never bought anything from Bonus Electrical. Never lived in hull, therefore, never used KC or Karoo. Didn't go to the University of Hull. Didn't sign up for a sportscard. Certainly never needed to use IBC. Any more I'm missing?

I agree with most posts here regarding the shirt, a simple way of making it look slightly better would be to follow the logo on the Stoke shirt. THey have a back panel aswell, but theirs merges into the stripes and looks part of the design. Ours overlaps onto the amber and looks stuck on

Is it just me who thinks the black stripes are far too shiny?
