Looks like it'll be De Boer in the summer for them then, good manager, good appointment, IF that Carver bloke can keep them up. He looks desperate from what I've seen of him, by far the most under qualified manager in the league, so it's all on the players.

I wouldn't under-estimate Ashley's intelligence. Apart from their relegation year, they've done consistently better than us. And his last laughing stock appointment has just pulled Palace three points clear of us. Mike Ashley is not the fool we'd all like to think.

All it needs now is a plummet and a certain Mr Pardew to climb above them in the league.
I predict hell on.:1980_boogie_down:

That's inevitable, Palace are on a roll now, how long that'll last is another story but Carver doesn't have a winning streak in him, he's gonna be scraping points at best.

They obviously think they are already safe.

They are in a similar situation as Norwich were last year and they dropped like a stone.

Theyre fortunate they have 27 points and Hull next. 30 points will be relative safety and they'll be able to play without pressure.

If they lose to Hull though their bums will be twitchy

Norwich had a right **** set of games to finish their season with though, something like Liverpool, Arsenal, City, Chelsea and United for the last 5 games. <laugh>

Delia will have been reaching for the microphone after seeing the fixture list!

Lose to Hull and they join the relegation fight. More the better.

There`s time yet to lose a couple of players. It could all go tits up.

Would you, as a billionaire, give the job to a ****-nugget then take away his only hope of doing a good job by selling his biggest assets?

Sissoko probably would have been sold, if they were already safe.

I can't see him going, anybody else is a possibility.

I get the the impression Ashley will sell any of them if the price is right.

Ashley sold Cabaye in Jan while Pardew was struggling and didn't replace him. Ashley is a gambling man mate, He can charge a premium this window and shown in the past he'll take the risk to get a better deal. This time round it would be a much bigger gamble as the Mags aren't as safe but if the silly valuation is met I'm sure they'd sell Sissoko this window.

Newcastle were more or less safe at this point last season, their struggle came after his sale. I also read at the time, that Cabaye was 6 months short of being able to buy himself out of his contract for £6m, if that's true, it was a no-brainer.

Like I said, if it's a stupid bid, he probably would sell, but Sissoko isn't that player for me, nobody's gonna go in with a silly bid for him. He's just not that good, I think those who want him, will be prepared to wait.

I reckon there's more chance of Cisse going.
