My mate bought a brand new S a few months ago. Its an absolute beauty!

He lost a **** load of money on some shares so bought it to cheer himself up <laugh>

Gonna start looking for a new car but don't know **** all about them so thought I'd come here for advice.

Don't want anything big, probably a 1.4/6 with a budget of roughly 3k.

Suggestions?

Lease. What return are you hoping for on your 3k after 3 years?

You'll get a decent motor for that money mate. Depends what you like really. For 3k you could pick up a really nice VW Golf, they do a 1.6 diesel unit that's economical and nice and nippy. Something like this...

**** a lease, don't do credit.

Not so bothered on a return, just want something that is going to last a few years rather than picking up a banger to last a year.
