When you're 2m tall and a cross is about a head over you, that's a BAD cross.

Andy has probably been our best player in making space for himself. The goal in the FA cup final? All his, footwork. His goals in the early rounds of the cups were directly due to his making space for himself.

I dont understand why people trash him for his footwork when in reality he has a lot of potential there. Sure if we ignored his feet he wouldn't fit the style of play but we can't ignore them. He's getting better and we must keep him. I'm not a fan of hoofball, yet for some reason Andy stands out (and it's not just his height).

He's not gotten the service he needs, and when he does get it he impresses. That tells me more about Adam/Downing than it does about Carroll.

Tony Evans from the Times states that if we sell or loan AC, then we'll be bringing in another striker as well as Borini and Dempsey.

If true then why not sort those deals first? Having let the cat out of the bag about Andy we will now see the price of any striker we bid for has gone through the roof overnight. Not a great way to go about business and a poor way to deal with a player who hasn't even had a training session with the new manager IMO. So not only are we about to take a huge financial loss we are also going to pay through the nose for the next guy <doh>

    interesting point.

another addition to this would be to start thinking hey... 15mil for carroll -11mil for borini = god... a net income .... so one could starting thiking we've no moeny at all.....

the thing that makes utd still strong is ferguson signed everyone up to stay.. here we are knowing what carroll could do if supported and we will sell him for a massive loss, spend it all on a kid who failed in england once already = taking a huge risk.

If rodgers is so great andwe hand him so many england internationals, players from all over.... shouldn't he be able to improve the situation? I think we need 6 players to get to the top... i now know there's no chance so next i think we need 3 players to get to top 4 level... now i'm not sure we'll even do that.

Kuyt gone, no replacment... maxi going... sounds like bellmay is not really wanted... it looks to me that we'll be struggling if we continue in this vein so lets hope someting positve happens along i nthe next month or so.

Yeah of course, because it makes perfect sense to loan out a player to fund a purchase of another.
