Yes of course. The main thread's still there for people to see. The other thread that spawned this one has bloomed after its pruning and your posts still exist here. I'd say it's a pretty reasonable solution all in all.

Fair enough some people didn't agree with the views of SYT and carmine, but they are entitled to their opinion. And I must confess I don't see the point of this thread. On the thread you closed there was you, Originalminority( say no more) and Westhulltiger( good poster) defending the behaviour of the Goole lot and a whole lot more slating them. Because you didn't like the fact you was looking a proper tool you closed it. You said it was wrong, you may have even said cowardly, to criticise them because they couldn't defend themselves because they don't use this board. That comment is so stupid I'd be embarrassed on your behalf if I had to explain why. Of course you can add your twopennerth that's partly why I moved the other bits all under one roof. I can see how some would say the other thread should be open. That's why I left it locked but not deleted and offered people the chance to PM a mod to re-open it as board discussions on the subject get as childish as this one for a variety of reasons. Without going into the specifics of the thread I felt it was just aimed at abusing City fans, and one group in particular. Personal abuse is against the board rules. It differs from the the general 'east stand - west stand' arguments or 'sitters v standers' debates as it was very specific in its abuse of an identifiable group and one individual in particular. The claims couldn't generally be substantiated and the thread had just reached the point where it was just a trading of childish abuse, pretty much as this one has.

Personal abuse against someone who doesn't post on this board and never has is against forum rules? Lie. I posted on numerous threads requesting they be closed because personal abuse had been aimed at the following; Paul Gascoigne, DJ Campbell, Richard III and possibly someone else. The abuse of Richard III I found the hardest to accept, poor bloke doesn't even know what football is. No action was taken against the perpetrators of said abuse and my posts ended up on this thread. To conclude. DMD makes it up as he goes along and throws a hissy fit when he starts to look a bit daft. FACT.
