Presumably this bullshit was all being made up when they thought Carroll was off to Liverpool.

Elmander - 3 goals last season, decent start to this season but nothing great. Maybe as a short term fix, until the summer maybe.

Why not Gudjohnson? I heard he is going on loan to Fulham though..

We wont get a player better than Carroll that I can think of, unless Carroll is just in great form and his actual skill level is far lower. Would like Bendtner, but it wont happen so persevere with Ranger, he's the only striker we have who can match or overtake Carroll.
