I realise that now Dave. After I'd posted I thought that maybe you couldn't even get insurance without a valid licence anyway. I just couldn't be bothered to edit my post.
"The Trinidadian footballer,
formerly of Coprolite Street..." :-D He's definitely back on that particular street now, the silly sod. OK, that's the comedy bit out of the way. On a serious note, the law's the law and with his record I don't fancy his chances. What a berk.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-suffolk-15238078 I can see why PJ didn't take any disciplinary action, he wasn't being a TOTAL prat. If your wife is taken to hospital with pregnancy complications I can imagine booking a taxi for the morning isn't at the top of your agenda.
To be faie to Carlos i was a little harsh now knowing the full facts, and it that situation it would be hard to think straight. It the cold light of day even Carlos would probably admit that calling an ambulance would have been the right thing to do, as already been mention he was probably not in a fit state to drive. But on this evidence, i would be very surprised if he got put down for it.
Totally right JWM, the bloke was probably in a right state to make a rational decision. so hopefully everything will be taken into consideration and a slap on the wrist will be the order of the day!
How many clubs up and down the country have had a player on the books that made a mistake/s in the eyes of the law.....probably every single one.! I am sure also that everyone on here has made decisions that in hindsight were particularly ill judged. Don't get me wrong he is wrong; I think he has been a prat & should be punished but is it worthy of the sack or to be sold, I am not so sure.
If it was a one off offence I would have sympathy for him but its about the 4th time he has been court. what a tosser.
