I don't watch much Spanish football but from what I've seen of this guy his finishing is pretty clinical but he's not the most mobile striker around. Think he'd guarantee a decent return of goals.
He isn't the fastest, but he does make good runs (has the extra mental yard of pace, If that makes sence) and he puts the effort in unlike some.. The question is would he adjust to the pace of the premier league? Or would his workrate get drowned out leaving us with an upgraded Ricky Lambert? There's no doubt he can finish.. But personally I wouldn't risk it.. mind you I have come to this conclusion having only watched a couple of Columbia games and a few games against Real Madrid
good runs are good runs end of. the thing is when you talk mobile and you talk slow.. which is it... lambert had no legs. can this guy run all day? thats the question
Bacca has agreed personal terms with ac Milan... they just need need to agree the fee or pay the release clause now
Thats what tony barrett keeps saying. not to worry jimmy lad.. klopp wants him. he'll do well for klopp.
he does strike me as very lazy. the whole belgium team strike me as very much of a type. hazard is the only one thats different in game style but he was lazy as sin until mourinho nailed him down. Lukaku and benteke for me are very similar in that they can look not bothered and then go on a run of goals. consistency for me is where benteke will fall down.
He is lazy. He's worse than Balotelli! Balotelli makes more tackles and I think he covers more ground. Belgium have a very good set up - Lukaku is light years ahead of Benteke. Far better technically and far better movement. Belgium are blessed with some real technical players - Hazard, Witsel, Kompany, Michy etc etc. Put Benteke in that team, a team that plays on the floor and he's completely out of place. No wonder Wilmots has used Origi quite a fair bit. I cannot get behind the backing of Benteke - we've got two top class creative players in Firmino and Coutinho, and we're giving them Benteke, a player who does not fit their style. It's as if we're building the team around the wrong players.
But I'm sure Klopp would hate Benteke. Lewandowski was much more than just a big man. Brilliant on the deck and made good runs.
As I told you the other day, it's impossible to be lazier than Mario. Benteke can be equally lazy, but it is impossible to move less than a lamppost!
Unfortunately, it's true! Balotelli covers more ground and works harder. Will try and dig it up though - however, comparing the two against one another is hardly a glowing endorsement.
I actually wanted us to sign Benteke for a period of time last summer but that was because it came up around the time we were heavily linked to Eto'o and Balotelli. Basically, I saw him as the best of a bad bunch Agreed that neither are good enough. I think we also agree on what striker we should be going for too #pierre
