Great result. The scoreline proves there are no easy fixtures in this división. Fingers crossed that we cross the 70 point barrier by this time next week. Keep the burners burning Pompey. If this was a 10000m race, we have around 3000m to go, and at this point the medallists begin to pull away and then decide who gets what in the final 400m.
I read on one of the Pompey sites on Facebook, that if Pompey can win say 8 of their last 14 league games, then that would just about clinch automatic promotion for us. We still have 8 home games, and 6 away matches to play. The clubs chasing us appear to be dropping points at an alarming rate over the last few weeks, which is pleasing. Let's hope we can achieve the above target of victories.
Well put Ides. And thanks for the report again Woops. I found myself awake at 2am so got up and watched on ifollow. I wouldn't say we 'won ugly' but it certainly wasn't easy. If i was a Carlisle supporter i would be disappointed not to get something from the game but I think Pompey edged it, creating better chances in the second half. Everyone can have an off day, but it seemed to be clear that Kamara is a better winger than Peart-Harris. Peart-Harris seemed better suited to the No 10 role. However, Lang continues to show promise and I would expect him to continue there for now. Great to open the gap at the top!!! PUP
