Just got to Hotel from game, as staying overnight to go see Hadrians Wall tomorrow... quite amazing scenes at end that i havnt seen since Play off final win - lots of very happy fans, and the players and CP came back out 15 mins after end of game to celebrate with fans - quite a moment - got some photos i'll post tomorrow. It was a good game - and a good ref too !!!! Controlled the game for long periods, even though they may have had 15 shots, i dont remember Hamer having a save to make - he had no chance with the one that hit the post. Had so many chances in second half that BWP wasted - how many chances does he need ?? Then he taps one in from 2 inches. !! Mom was me was Pritchard - so much energy, broke up so much and was willing to get forward too. Player marks... Hamer 7 - didnt have much to do, but did everything well. Solly 7 - quiet, efficient, typical Solly game Cort 8 - Towering performance - won everything in the air, got a bit lucky with an accidental hand-ball in 2nd half, but was a collosus. Morro 9 Quite brilliant - imperious self, made one fantsatsic block tackle in the 2nd half, was very,very good today. Wiggins 7 poor distribution in first half, although got forward in second a lot. Pritchard 9 - MOM - chased everything, won everything, seemed to always come out of sticky situations with the ball, tireless performance. Jacko 8 - Great corners, but did little else Stephens 6 Below par, did better in 2 nd half - performance typified by coming over to take corner away from Jacko only for it to go directly behind. NGuessan - 7 Blusterer, did little, should have scored in first half , blazed over. Kermy - 9 Great game, first touch is sublime, set up quite a few chances in 2nd half for BWP who promptly wasted them. BWP - 6 Would have got 5 if he hadnt scored ! Staying in lovely little Inn in the countryside some 10 miles out of Carlisle - and the waiter went to the game today and said we were the best team he'd seen all season, and that we had just destroyed their 17 game unbeaten run at home - which i didnt know about. Yee haa - a beers to be sunk tonight methinks !!!!!!! Great moment after the game when the players and CP came back out - this after the Carlisle announcer had said four times that the team wasnt coming back out !! I was there !!!!!!!
Well done for going Stu. A day you will always remember. Three questions: 1) How come you give Jackson 8 just for great corners? 2) Who does this Adrian Wall play for? 3) What did you think of Zoko? Any good for us in the Championship? I expected to lose when I saw Jackson and Stephens in the team. I didn't think we would have enough energy and tackle-power in midfield. It was obviously close, especially when one hit the post, but looks like CP made the right call.
Very bittersweet for me- the day starting by losing a very close family member to a tumour. So I'm hoping to feel the joy when we win the league . Might not be around as much next couple of days, so I trust you all to behave . Hope you all enjoy yourselves, god knows we deserve it

Jacko - dunno - just feeling in a benevolent mood (i wonder why?!!!) Adrian - also dunno, but he better look after my hangover tomorrow !! Zoko - hardly had a touch let alone a shot - looked lightweight - Morro had him in his pocket all game - never troubled us. Carlisle never really looked like scoring aside from the shot that hit the post, defence was immense , as usual. A whole team effort today, and their celebration with the fans was something special, i'll remember it for a long time.
PS A mention to all things Carlisle - lovely people - more friendly you could not want - even the stewards understood our celebrations, been having a (few) beers with people in the Inn who went today - very complimnetary of us - of our club of our fans too- such a lovely bunch of people you could not wish to meet. Burp.
Don't know if anyone has read Owls Talk yet (you know what their all like ). Majority congratulating us, however one plonker and I quote "possibly the worst side to get promoted ever go 1-0 up and park 10 men behind the ball"
