Charlton Athletic make their longest trip of the season this weekend when they travel up north to take on a Carlisle side still chasing a playoff place. Whilst charlton won both their games over easter beating Oldham and Walsall both 1-0, Carlisle could only manage two draws, drawing 0-0 with S****horpe and 1-1 with Wycombe.
We have already played Carlisle twice this season once in the league and once in the fa cup. We have won both times and scored 6 goals compared to Carlisle scoring 0. The 4-0 in the league was the game after our first loss of the season and showed us just how well our team can bounce back following a defeat. On that day the goalscorers were Wright-phillips, Hollands and Kermogant the latter bagging a brace. Ben Hamer also saved a penalty in the second half when we were already 4-0 up. It is also worth noting that Carlisle had to play 45 minutes with 10 men after Robson was sent off.
Carlisle are enjoying a good season so far and are still in the hunt for a playoff place. They currently sit 7th in the league on 66 points level with Notts County who occupy the last play off place but they have an inferior goal difference. That being said they have a game in hand so have an opportunity to make that playoff place their own. They are unbeaten in their last nine games of which include wins away to Mk dons and at home to Huddersfield.

Much like the two Sheffield games back in January I would be happy with a point, however I get the feeling that any body making the travel up to Carlisle could once again be instore for a masterclass away performance for our boys. That is why I am going to go with another 1-0 win for us and who knows if Sheffield Wednesday lose we could be promoted come 5 o'clock tomorrow!
so I can see Waggy starting (for his work rate) and N'Guessan on bench instead of Hayes. Not that I think that's fair on Hayes
