Be kind of funny now if they go out to Sunderland. People should know not to tempt fate eh LF <cool>

Bayern haven't beaten us in their last two attempts and nor have Barca, be it with 11 men or 10. Good try though <ok>

Its all hypothetical. Sunderland are not a fantastic side but difficult to play against. At st marys they parked the bus and got a smash and grab point. Hopefully at their place they will come for us and we Will open them up.

They're record in Europe is abysmal for a top team. If we'd been competing at that level for as long as they have we'd probably have won 4/5 CL's by now.

Yep. Saffa had the luxury of cash and continuity for 20 years; and time to build four or five teams to dominate Europe

That's why for me he'll never be in the top 5 bracket of manager. Top 10 in reality.

Alex is no different than Pep, with no competition they thrive!

For sunderland? I think the chairman has no interest in the league cup so he will continue to put out a second string. Some good players maybe 1/2 1st team regulars but nowhere near our best.

If we get through and host you lot who knows?! Our 2nd team would be destroyed and I would hope he would play our best. My fear is that you Will see our best in the league and we may test you but get battered in the cup.

    Sunderland it is then.

Not a bad draw for us for a SF spot, our 'second' team should do the job, but then we do love a **** up now and then!!

We've a fantastic record there and I can't envisage us losing given Sunderland will be focused on the league but who knows.

Likely Chelsea, United and City will all make the semi's.

I think we'll go through but bit of a shag having to go up there twice in two weeks both in midweek games... Fair play to our fans that do that trip.

Hope we get through cause if we do then I can do the second leg... Hope it's away as well!

Barca are a doodle for Chelsea, we roll them every year. They were pathetic against Milan, a dive for a penalty, an offside 2nd, tippy tap. They don't like it up em. Bayern are much tougher, but hey, didn't we beat them at their gaff with 3 out ?? And lost on penalties last time?? They can be taken as well.

Gus will play our first team and go for the win - as he did against Southampton.
I hope that Jose will be concentrating on the league so that we at least have a chance. Then again we are a very unpredictable team and there are a lot of league games before the quarter final.
