I would absolutely love to get Pompey away in the FA cup 3rd round (providing they make it that far), just to absolutely smash them in their own back yard. We cocked up two opportunities to beat them last season,but surely we would annialate them now. Plus of course it would be good for them as it would give them a few quid. As for the League cup,Burton please.
The only problem with wanting Pompey in the 3rd round is that it means they have to win the first two rounds. And personally I want pompey to get stuffed in the first round (preferably by a non-league side).
I suppose seeing them beaten by Eastleigh,Sholing or Totton would have its upside, but i still want to give them a good hiding just in case the worst happens,and they go out of existence.
In honesty, I don't particularly care if Southampton lose or win in the 3rd round. Unless you're playing us, of course.

Not sure. In that sort of situation i'd be worried about sides playing conservatively because they want to avoid defeat more than they want to win (cross ref, groups of death in world cups).
Well it could essentially be the 4 league winners of the 4 biggest leagues; England, Spain, Italy and Germany.
There will be a group of death - it's inevitable - Man City will be praying they don't get Barca or Madrid.
City will be hoping they get Porto,anyone else will be very hard for them,but most of all they will all be hoping to miss Juve or PSG from pot 3
