If we stay up I think it will be a result, and something to build on!

That encapsulates how far we have fallen.

After suffering the embarrassment of walking into the Boozer with everyone watching the Rugby match & asking to put on a league the barman never heard of, with those at the bar chuckling when I said it, I then had to endure the harsh reality of being back in the fukking Championsh*t. What a truly awful spectacle that division is. It felt like we were back in Ollie's era with budget players playing like budget players play: Shyte. We're right back at the fukking beginning, building from scratch and its excruciatingly distressing. I don't think I'll ever develop an affinity for this team. I've had enough of being sh*t at this wretched irrelevant level and the prospect of being here for years to come seriously has me on the brink.

As for the game, lots of crap from both teams and a fair result. Ramsey takes off our three best players for reasons known only to him. Chery & Gladwin looked decent enough and Phillips was, as usual, the instigator of most of our attacking play. Henry is a hacker and the two fullbacks look pony. Hill is too old and Green can't kick straight.

Only positive was Luongo.

What???!!

(Sorry Tramo, match reports are for those with a desire to inflict pain in the form of mind-numbing tedium and that's not me. Besides, after watching that I'm barely clinging on to the will to live let alone wish to write all about it. <ok>)

It's an honest response Swordsie......me I'm a tad numb after a bottle of wine with dinner, the real downer is that the 2nd bottle we opened was corked and had to be used as drain cleaner......

Still we go again on Wednesday, then Saturday and so on......

Right Rugby and Golf to watch.....

Here you are then.....why let it ruin your week-end? Perspective is always a good happy pill. It's football.
How's that? :emoticon-0148-yes:
I have no choice if it ruins my weekend, there isnt an opt out clausefollowing Rangers(unfortunately)..if we play S**t and the team is piss poor then its a downer.

Budget players exactly! and they are trying to sell it to us fans that its the way to go!!! Depressing shower of ****e. Club doesn't deserve us fans!!!!!

Very disappointing end to the match but it was coming as soon as they scored their first

We lost our shape when trying to push forwards for a third, and despite two good breaks when we should've scored at least one more, allowed Cardiff acres of space when they moved the ball forwards

Matt P has to work harder tracking back - Perch was badly exposed a number of times, just as he was at Charlton

When was the last time the first 3 goals in a game came from corners??

Green - No saves, bad distribution.
Perch - Looked average, no passing.
Onuoha - MOM
Hill - Good goal, poor defensively.
Konchesky - See Perch.
Luongo - Encouraging.
Henry - Why?
Phillips - Frustrating
Chery - Creative, why was he subbed?
Gladwin - Clumsy
Austin - Take the money.

Doughty - Functional
Polter - Terrible touch
JET - See Gladwin & Polter

well now home after today's game and after reading many posts on a few sites I have to ask have we missed a trick in not getting raneiri?

Why do we never place a player at far side for corners for when the ball flies over all the players?

We really need to learn yo stop playing the ball in the air..we are so much better with ball on the deck.

Need to replace green.

Why we playing one striker up front for most of game!

sorry to here that, but I've been following the R's for well over half a century and there IS on opt out clause. I just ask myself one question which is.....Has anyone died? Answer is always No! Easy!
Enjoy your week-end!!!! <laugh>

Two games into what everyone knows is a season of change for us. As a group we need to manage our expectations and see what develops over the 18-24 months.

Telling people who waited 15 years for something only for it to be destroyed due to gross incompetence and it having to be started all over again from scratch, that they should have a little patience......................................... is a bit rich Sir

I thought the two of them were anonymous :frown:
Both were positive and tried to give us some momentum. Doughty wasn't afraid to get on the ball. Luongo set Phillips up for a chance he should have done better with. Gladwin was pretty non existent though, but we have to give these guys time, no point slagging them off at this stage ( or any frankly).
