    Preview;
    So, swiftly moving on from today...next up is a trip to recently relegated Cardiff City. They haven't had a great start to life back in the Championship, with four draws and one win in the last five. That, plus earlier losses to Reading and Wigan suggests to me that they are not enjoying being back in the second tier. We'll see a couple of familiar faces on Wednesday night, as Neil Warnock has Alex Smithies and Junior Hoilett.

    From the official;
    A RETURN to winning ways will be on Mark Warburton’s mind when he takes his QPR squad to Cardiff City on Wednesday night.

    His R’s had enjoyed four successive victories ahead of Saturday’s game against West Bromwich Albion and that three-point feeling is one that they will be eager to rediscover in the Welsh capital.

    Cardiff – who were relegated from the Premier League in May – come into the game in decent form themselves. They are unbeaten at home this term and have not tasted defeat in any of their last six league matches.

    Team news
    QPR
    : Yoann Barbet (suspended)

    Cardiff City: Isaac Vassell (quadricep), Sol Bamba (knee)

    Pre-match words
    QPR Manager Mark Warburton: “We know what we face. It is another very, very tough encounter. Cardiff are very good at what they do and are very well managed. We will have to be at it. They have come down from the Premier League, they have dealt with that disappointment and we know they will be a very formidable outfit.”

    Cardiff City manager Neil Warnock: “QPR have got a mixture of experience and youth, with one or two of the best young players in the league. We know how difficult it’s going to be on Wednesday night, but we’ve got some very good players who are in form as well. I think it promises to be a cracking game.”

    Certainly one to remember was our 2-2 draw away in our Championship winning season, I watched it in a bar in Coral Bay and that was one of Adel's best performances for us effectively ending their receding promotion hopes. Not the best quality but here's the highlights...

    That talented rascal Leon Jeanne who threw it all away was another who played for both, albeit only twice for Cardiff. Having said that he only played twelve times for us and no goals according to his Wiki page. I'm pretty sure I remember him scoring for us in the FA Cup at home to Chelsea in the late 90's.

    I'd take a point in this game right now but would settle for a sneaky 1-0 win.

    Matthew Connolly played as did Wayne Routledge (however he was there on loan)
    I am hoping that this game starts another 4 wins out of 5 sequence for the Super Hoops.

    I'm allowed to look at match day threads again now that the baggies have blown my latest theory out the window.

    Thinking of making the trip from Bristol, although maybe my absence is important.

    I don't believe in that superstitious nonsense but if you do decide to go don't walk under any ladders, step on cracks in the pavement or let a black cat cross your path.

    I don't really believe in it either, but it's hard being me. I kick down every ladder I walk past, some of the ladder users get frustrated with that, I wheel around a barrow of sand a cement and always fill in cracks and it pains me every time I have to boot a black cat 20m down the street. Still, we're doing ok so far this season.

    Wow, you're really practical Woody, I'd never have thought of doing any of that but will do so from now on. I'm going to make a start right now by throwing my step ladder away. I never knew my real ladder.

    I bought a new ladder from my electrical wholesaler a couple of weeks ago. 6 tread, fibre construction. They said they cost £10 per tread, so I just asked for the top 2.

    Would be glad of a point at Baaadiff but even that maybe hoping for a lot. Not the best fixture to try and get back to winning ways.

    Just read on our official site that Eze played for the U18's today, which I find astonishing.
    QPR U18s: Little, Paiva, Fahmy (Aoraha 11), Mahorn, Trialist, Kalathias (Gordon 60), Jude-Boyd, Griffith, Conte, Mema, Trialist (Eze 60).

    Or do we have more than one Mr Eze on our books?
