Well we didn't lose at least. Sounds like we played ok but sloppy moment cost us again. Least Bayo redeemed himself.
When Sierralta went off had to go to the market with the Mrs, thought it might inspire a goal to our favour. Alas not, still take a point. Today, I was impressed with Bayo.
There was an effort/finish by both teams that would have not looked out of place at the Millennium Stadium!
Looking at the stats it should have been a draw but seeing the extended highlights we had the better chances in the second half and should have scraped the win Not anything to get too excited about for now, but when you look back at the squad we had when we beat Liverpool but still went down compared to what we have now it is WTAF has happened to our club, a combination of bad recruitment AND players jumping ship thinking they could play at a higher level and some of those are scrapping for the odd appearance at the so called bigger clubs, Doucoure has been in a never ending fight against relegation since he jumped ship There other problem was that the players who stayed loyal were all getting old and injury prone and are now all gone I do wonder how long it will take to get back to where we were in 2018
Interesting point of view. I have to hold my hand up to having been critical of Bayo - and couldn't understand how he missed that first half chance. Having watched the replay a few times, it quite obviously wasn't as easy as it first looked. But this guy makes a rather telling point about a former transfer target of ours - Brazilian striker Wesley of Stoke. If we had signed him from Villa for the £22 million that Stoke paid, and his goal return was zero in 12 games - how happy would our fan base be right now?
I have only seen the highlights but the thing that stuck in my mind was how easy it was to rob the ball of Cardiff around their penalty area. Bayo deserves special mention here for his tanacity in chasing what may have been lost causes.
