Yes. I thought so until the 2nd half against Leicester but they suprised me and they dug in again tonight, it's unfair to expect them to play out of their skins week in week out though two or three additions and we should be able to cope with SIX first team regulars out more easily, as proven tonight we have players who can step up to the plate when needed, and the odd one or two injuries shouldn't be too much of a problem...............but if we hope to sustain at least a play off challenge.......well we can't expect to do it with 5 or 6 of our top players out on a regular basis.
The statistics say we had 55% of the possession, 13 attempts, 6 on target (them 9, 5 on target) 5 corners each 9 fouls by us 12 by them. It seem that we must concentrate on making our chances count or we will start to slip, one dodgy decision and one defensive mistake and we are made to pay, life is unfair sometimes.
All teams can point to the statistics and say "we was robbed" it's happened to us often enough.......... the only statistics that count at the end of 90 minutes is the final score, and the only statistics that count at the end of the season is the league table............no club ever got promoted by having more corners or shots off target than their rivals.
Davis was f*cking awful, why he keeps on just rolling the ball out i don't know. It's to predictable. Fox was awful, we had no width. It's time to play fox insted of guly and play dickson at left back.
Just thought what might have been gong on in The Don's head, this evening. I can imagine after debriefing tomorrow, ol' Nicola asking Nigel for 5 minutes in his schedule, and then quietly saying... Nigel, let's not waste time here. We didn't win last night. What do you need.,? Name it and I'll get it for you. Now there's plenty of football people I couldn't imagine saying such a thing, but Cortese is one of the few I could.
All teams have to do is watch a video on us and notice we like to pass it to our full backs from goal kicks. I think Merrington summed it up perfectly in the commentary, we need a plan B when the short pass isn't on. A lot of the time that will be a long ball up to Lambert.
You can do other things then just rolling it out, im not saying just hoof it. You could throw it to a different player or even pass it a few more yards foward. Yet all davis do's is roll it out to out rb or lb it's predictable. It happened against forest but luckly didn't cost us. Still proud we are top tho couldn't have imagined a better start.
Well seeing as I born in Stanwell that makes a whole lot of sense. Go **** your sister you inbred lil ****er
Yeah I've noticed that aswell, even when he passes it to Fox or Richardson most of the time they lump it forward, only Fonte passes it on the ground ,I would like us to pass the ball around even more.I had already noticed this prior to the match I just think that our full backs are quite average to be honest if we were to get promoted we would have to get some good premiership full backs to stand any chance of survival.
Actually in the Brum game Davis did change it; he rolled or kicked it out to Cork in the middle. This was after forest had stopped us sending it wide. So we learned and changed it. I haven't seen tonight's game but getting fed up with saints fans criticising a brilliant start to the season. We will start October top of the league. I'd have taken that in July.
Oh well guys. 2 tough away games we have had but we are still leading the way. Nigel and the lads will look back at the game and hopefully next time we will win games like the one tonight. Let's look forward to Saturday now and get 3 points! COYR
OK sorry to rattle your cage, statistics prove that 9 out of ten is 90% little else. Just hope we stuff you St.Marys coz you are not nice people, so there! Silly post? Well you started it.
What is your problem, you won yet you still feel the need to be insulting? If you took the trouble to check my profile you would see that I am somewhat older than 13, or are sums too difficult?
