pressure is off and the damage is already done, good performance and hope we turn it round but what is this smarmy response.
He was garbage for us as well - the number of gossip he let in by his near post. He’s a quality passer though, better than most if not of all our useless players. Sunderland hadn’t won in 7 yet steamrolled us Hull likewise. Cardiff are a soft touch at home yet last week won at Coventry! How aren’t Hull in top 6?
Can't compete with the parachute clubs or recent prem sides. Same for all the chasing pack. Spending a bit in one season isn't a match for established investment over the longer term. .
They consistently beat those sides. That's the difference. That's what that kind of quality buys you. Don't play your best but still find a way more often than not. Everyone from Norwich down are similar. And they've only recently got consistent. Cov lose to the likes of Cardiff and then beat Leeds too. Acuns entire spend is about 50% of a Rutter. That's perspective.
I wanted to see who you were replying to and well, yeah. He mentions parachutes more than a skydiving instructor. The idea that clubs can’t compete with teams that were last in the Prem 3 years ago is such a pathetic excuse.
He's had a meniscus tear FFS. Unfortunately they're still bound by the limitations of medical science
And TBF to allsop, in recent times he's definitely improved. I'm still thinking pandur will start as #1 next season
Not if they still have the benefit of that investment in their squads, plus 3 years parachutes giving them a massive financial advantage. Reality is still reality whether you think it's boring or not. Sorry if you can't cope with that.
Cardiff manager Erol Bulut: "We wasted the first half. This is not how we trained. When you don't press well and the opponent is a good passing team, they can come out of this pressure. "From the corner they scored the first goal, which can happen, but how we conceded the second goal was not good. We were too far away from the opponent, not aggressive enough. "The second half was much better. We came back with the goal but then there was a misunderstanding between Rallsy [Joe Ralls] and Nat [Phillips]. I was speaking to Nat and Rallsy played the ball already. This happened, we cannot change it. "You can lose but you have to at least fight, not like the first half." Hull manager Liam Rosenior: "It was a really professional performance. We scored some really good goals and controlled the game. "What was pleasing was the response to them scoring a goal, which came out of the blue. The response from the players, their spirit and the quality was really pleasing. "Bearing in mind this was a [Cardiff] team that went to Coventry and won, we showed a real level we have to keep to and go beyond if we want to get to where we want to be. "We're there [in play-off contention]. There are going to be plenty of twists and turns. I've seen this story before in the Championship. Every game is difficult."
the player the ball was meant to go to from the free kick wasn't watching and didn' t know it was meant for him.
The reality is that Coventry, Luton and Sunderland got into the play-offs last year and Luton went up without parachute payments. Ipswich have been in the top 4 for pretty much all season after coming up from League 1. Your obsession with parachute payments is such a sad little niche excuse you’ve clung to, to avoid admitting those clubs had/have much better managers than us and that’s the difference.
