Rosenior actually said that he thought Fleming had played well in that game but he just wanted more height in the back line for the Millwall game.
It is, I was talking about in general play. Really you need that wide player who can hug the touch line a bit and stretch the play, run at a man and offer that cutting edge that makes the opposition really focus on defending both sides. Our left side was so slow, the ball would arrive in space and neither really has the attributes to play that position with intensity, they’d get the ball and turn back or stop and play it back or infield. Slater in particular looks very out of position in those wide areas and together they make an awkward pairing. Greaves has been giving a decent account of himself there but he is very much a centre half.
You say this a lot about various players. It's worth remembering that people used to say the same sort of stuff about Ashbee week after week, before it became universally accepted that he was actually very good for us.
Whomwould you dro but who would you drop? It would be a tad harsh on any of the three centre backs. Don’t a lot of teams known for playing out from the back play three centre backs?
Again as already mentioned twice during this conversation would have to be Woo or Doc. Personally I’d drop Woo and play Doc alongside Seri, as I think Woo has been the least impactful, and Doc’s contribution with his drive and energy is a large part of our improvement in performances.
I don't think so because several of us had been bemoaning the drop off in his distribution even before last night's goal. Yet when he came into the side last season, that was his strength. But I guess a big reason is possibly the disappearance of KLP as an outlet.
The bare minimum being involved in all our goals, and directly laying on the winner with a sumptuous pinpoint cross? Your obsession with criticising Longman is bizarre. He's a very good young footballer who most of us are proud to have in the team.
As much as I want to hear Rosie’s philosophies I’m not sure I want him to tell all the other managers in this division so they can prepare ( maybe we will be just so good it won’t matter. As for Slater on wide left he was poor at home but in the first half last night he did run at them and cut inside like Longman does on that side . Woods was a bit slow last night in releasing the ball and got caught more than others, his lack of pace didn’t help him , but working alongside Seri he looks a decent player. I’ve sat d it before average players can look good enough in a winning team, but they can look really poor in an average team.
I can't think that I've ever seen our team win 3-2 away at Cardiff, but seen so many negative posts on here. Can these people imagine what they'd have posted had we lost last night We won, we won a ****ing important game. Come on City
I've seen the highlights, but I now I want to watch them again and I can't find em. If somebody would be so kind x
I see that his social media handle is now @theowl. In other words Twitter Woo. I'm here all week unfortunately.
Not a coincidence that in the three away games Longman has played CF we have scored TEN goals. He's scored two and had a hand in several others. How many had we scored before that? His touch needs to improve, and he missed a decent chance last night but in general he's led the line really really well. Better than anyone has for some time IMO.
thats such an absurd thing to say, if you’re on the pitch at the standard of the championship you’re allowed to be critiqued to that standard? Such a baseless comment, I’d obviously be ****ing useless.
Just seen the highlights. That Pep thingy has got a lot to answer for.... Other than the obvious, we actually looked pretty decent..
