If Adkins thought Hector played well he wants a new pair of glasses. Although to be fair he had no choice with then injuries. Where the hell is everyone? And I see why no one touched Campbell, dodge knees I reckon.
I don't think we can complain about the goal. Yes his arm may have been a millimetre in front of our defender, but you can't expect a linesman to see that in real time, and it can't have made any significant difference. Personally I'd rather see more attackers given the benefit of the doubt when it's really tight.
From reading reports it seems there wasn't much between the 2 teams, which does go to show other than Wolves there isn't much between many of the teams this season. One the plus side the defence does appear to be more organised, so once we get a few of these injuries sorted then hopefully we will see an improvement in results.
Didn’t get a good stream until after 30 minutes of Viking garbage. I then thought City looked somewhat more confident and competent, a long way to go however but at this very early stage there may be some room for slight optimism.
It’s unbelievable, I’ve never seen anything like it where a club has so many players out injured or unavailable. If it’s going to be like this all season, then I’ll take finishing 20th.
We do have a record of bringing in some players who have an injury history and so come cheaper, that doesn't help. With the game itself, I thought Cardiff were definitely better going forward, they broke quicker and knew what they were doing a bit more. We didn't really test their defence enough to see if their defence was better or not.
That Cardiff team have been steadily built over a number of seasons, ours is hastily built once a year and you can tell the difference. We need a period not unlike the one under Pearson, Barmby and then Bruce, where we built up a squad of young but talented players for very little monety and allowed them to develop while slowly climbing the table season by season.
Did you hear Michael Gray on TV last night? "Technically, it's offside, but I'm glad it was given..." or words to that effect. **** off you daft ****! If it's technically offside - which it was! - it should have been disallowed! We need video technology NOW!
On a more positive note, we went to the second placed club and made them struggle for a 1-0 win. I reckon that's progress. Goo on, Nige.
Couldn't agree more fitness is built over a period of weeks and that's why pre season is so important because once you reach your peak fitness its a case of maintaining through out the season that's why when a player misses pre season they often struggle.
Rather than sacking unfairly some groundsman the club needs to take a big look at fitness and conditioning coaches because they are not doing their jobs correctly. Also the joke of a training ground should have been sorted years ago. 17 injured players the Mason injury aside is an absolute ****ing joke.
The fitness and conditioning coaches are fighting a losing battle when some players had to play every minute of preseason.
--------------McGregor Odubajo Mazuch Tomori Aina ------------Stewart----Mason----- Bowen ----------Evandro--------Grosicki ---------------Abel H------------- IMO that's the best we could do with a fully fit squad.
You have to applaud Warnock , his staff and the team for slowing the game and wasting time . It was very professional especially the injured lad who went down as they wanted to sub the fat striker with the beard soaked up the seconds on the pitch ,then went to the far side before returning to the pitch and wasting more time when going down injured instantly and then ambling off while being subbed . They then were in fear of us and took the ball to the corner many times . 4 minutes ref , Cardiff conned you , and then you played less than the 4 . If it had been City doing this then I would have very happy . Well done Warnock .
Our loss had absolutely nothing to do with time wasting, we didn’t trouble them once in the second half.
