Piss poor video Mytfyscidoson you could have at least packed it out a bit with the other 20 odd similar misses.
No - we are all football fans and do care when any club - even yours - is being handled without respect to its fans.
Personally, my opinion is this.. History, identity and legacy is one thing, if the Malaysians are willing to invest 100 million, then you'd be absolutely mad not to take it. If Swansea went into admin today, and someone offered 100m on the basis they could paint us pink with purple spots, call us the pink puffs (only thing i could think of), for that sort of money go right ahead! Survival these days seems harder n harder, can't expect them to put that huge amount of money and still cater for everything the fans want. sad it may be that tradition and history have to make way for the "real world" but if it keeps your club fighting for promotion, good luck to you lot.
"If Swansea went into admin today" But we keep being told that Cardiff are paying their way and are nowhere near admin. I also think you'll find you're in the minority on this. Most Swans fans (like most Cardiff fans away from this board) would be pretty outraged.
Cheers ToL. i said that in another thread. It is easy to say no to 100 million when it is not being offered to you. The club survives now because the owners cover our deficits and keep the debt under control. They walk, we die. Already on other forums there are more and more posters agreeing to the idea. Nobody really wants to change but the majority understand the situation. Of course AA's board won't change. But the biggest Cardiff board has shifted more towards red than blue once the options are made pretty clear.
Pretty outraged is one thing, but unless the club can generate that sort of money all on its own, the owners have every right to do what they like in return for that investment. Might not like it, but thats just how it is these days. football is a business, you wouldn't put up 100m without your own conditions, neither would these malaysians or any others either.
footballs fkd and we are getting deeper in the brown stuff each year.............................but i fear nowt , we wont be the only ones used abused and pushed 2 one side like a pimps bitch by these billion dollar men.......fk em and we will start a fresh with a club thats totally fan driven and totally fan friendly without the need for selling our souls 2 the devils little helpers
to be honest this figure of £100m will probably not materialise, it will probably be less than that IMO i'll still be supporting cardiff in 30,40,50 years time, the investors wont, so its unfair the fans dont get a say in the matter, perhaps we are seeing the malaysians true colours coming out with this fiasco.
Who is saying £100M? The Club? The Fair Play rules kick in soon don't forget. "They walk, we die". Really? Don't think so. The Malaysians bought you for peanuts but they won't throw money away, it's not in their nature. As much as I hate to say it Cardiff are a decent sized club with a good sized fan base that have almost made the Prem 4 (?) seasons running. Are you seriously suggesting that you're not a good investment/ gamble?
FFP rules do not affect us until 2014/15. £100 million was given at the meeting as the investment. They stated it is not a loan but an investment. No, I don't think anyone will come in and take a £60 million debt and deal with it like our current owners can, and then add another £40 million on top of that to build a state of the art training center and invest in the squad. The owners have come to some arrangement to clear the debt in short order. We would probably end up with another Sam if these guys left, all talk and no action.
If the shoe was on the other foot and some billionaire wanted to invest in your small town club and made the same decision then I wonder waht the reaction of the swansea fans would be? Nobody would ever have to answer it becuase nobody would want to invest in a football club which has the city council as its landlord, and has no investment potential. swansea will always be behind the capitol city of Wales in every commercial venture. Accept it and put some salt on that enormous chip on your shoulders.
scum why dont you check it yourself?, but the last time i checked i think it was merlin entertainments who infact are the second largest after disney..hope that helps scumjack
Cardiff city - the prostitutes of Wales And no, all that investment or not, I would HATE for some foreign owners to come in - who don't give a **** about the club, only their pockets - to change MY club to suit their marketing campaign! Absolutely outrageous statement. Your clubs' a sellout and by the looks of things, so are you lot. Enjoy the money Cardiff dragons, don't go doing a Leicester will you
It's hillarious that after giving us **** for singing 'welsh rugby songs' they've now changed to welsh rugby shirts!!!!
