Also would say I've enjoyed the company of the Cardiff fans this season, balanced, reasonable, but with wit and humour. Much like Peterboro' fans, decent people, unlike some arseholes we could mention but won't because the letter L has fallen off my keyboard.
For the benefit of the Twig supporter, most of our fans think that we will clinch promotion against the Scabs (sorry Forest) they are on a lovely billy davies run at the moment but it will not last. We have not become a bad team overnight and Mackay will grind out the results to get us over the line. Cardiff and Hull are the best teams in the Championship and will be promoted, perm any 4 from 8 for the play off spots, although Palace and Watford look a shoe in, therefore, will Forest run out of steam, the answer to that is yes, brighton are better than them and will probably leapfrog them tonight.
As for us dropping out of the play off spots...how ludicrous is that, after all this is supposed to be a sensible football forum.
For Cardiff to "fall out of the play off spots you would have to lose (no draws, no wins) all 10 remaining games and each and every one of the chasing pack top 5 would have to keep winning. The team in 7th spot (Brighton) would have to win 5 of their remaining 9. If anyone is stupid enough to bet on Cardiff not making the top 6, I'll take it!
I think what he meant was, if Cardiff don't go up automatically, you won't have the momentum to go up via the play-offs. Not to drop out of the play-off places, because finishing top 6 is a certainty.
Even SB acknowledged it wasn't great to watch and even said that he expected anybody watching on Sky to switch over to the History channel, he felt like doing so himself!
Hard to disagree with many CC fans actually. Last night was anything but pretty but who cares ? At this point of the season its wins/points only that matter. 9 more boring 1-0 wins will do for me. Then create some more History.
