And if things had been different this season, and you were relegated, i don't expect you'd have blamed that on Sven ? They can't have it both ways...

Be so funny if Norwich won there games and Villa went down on the last day

The Fulham fans walking away from the ground yesterday seemed resigned to relegation (think Cardiff are now done for).

Interesting discussion on MotD extra at lunchtime about Lerner and Ashley. What is the point of putting more money in than will get you 17th? The extra expense for better quality will eat up any extra prize money and you're still not fighting for any silverware.

I daresay that the relegated teams will have a more enjoyable season than us next season (European tour aside).

Shall this now become the Liverpool or Chelsea thread?

Remember the "we are your champions" chant last season from Cardiff? They can win that league ten times over for us to remain in the PL this season.

Is it just me, or was the Sunderland/Cardiff game entirely more entertaining then this one?

Maybe because we had some vested interest in it, however small.

It's a weird one, as when the "experts" come on after the game they'll say this & some will say if the initial incident is outside the box then it should be a free kick. Talk about confused!

Possibly the penalty was given for Marshall's 'challenge' but Cana was still rightly dismissed for tugging Wickham back when bursting one on one we'ut goalie.

This is taken from: Rules and Governance; The Laws of the Game

    http://www.thefa.com/football-rules-governance/laws/football-11-11/law-12---fouls-and-misconduct

    then open the pdf:

Law 12 - Interpretations of the Laws of the Game.

    http://www.thefa.com/~/media/files/thefaportal/governance-docs/laws-of-the-game/11-v-11/interpretation-of-laws---2013-14/law-12---interpretations-of-the-laws-of-the-game.ashx

This is an exception to the rule, but it just goes to show how well the referee applied the laws to allow the fouled attacker every opportunity, as penalties can be missed.

My thanks to Beverly_Tiger_ 998 for highlighting this. <ok>
