Good to hear you Welsh chaps sounding bullish. (Is it true that the bars at the CCS only sell cans as the bottles disappear each Spring?)

Good luck in your quest to match Swansea's feats- a tough act to follow.

I can't see Cardiff bottling it this year. We're doing a lot better than I thought we would but we're far too inconsistent. Looking at the Leicester forum (Foxes Talk that is, not the bunch of irritating ****s on here) a few of their fans think that we'll finish 2nd or 3rd, provided we have a bit more luck with injuries than we have done thus far and that we resolve our issues with not having a forward who can actually score.

    I'd be happy with a play-off spot.

Bottles / Swansea <doh>. C'mon Agro - can't you come up with something original? We hear it all the time.

Like, can we please let you win the last game of the season to get you up auto along with us?

BTW Scooterman - I think that Tickler bloke has at last got something correct - the second half of the season is going to be a cracker. <ok>

True, unless some teams spend silly money in Jan and run away with things, the final month of this season could quite easily be the best the Championship has ever seen.

The play off final if it involves any 2 of the current TOP 5 will almost certainly set a new attendance record.

I don't think a new record can be set unless the ground is extended, the Pompey v Cardiff FA Cup final was a technical sell-out and I think we were about there too.

Shouldn't Chris Woods be top of your shopping list for January?

We're top on merit, we've been through a really tough time with injuries and a few are just starting to come back to form and fitness for the most important part of the season so far. Bellers has done very little for us this season before Ewood park, but thats the difference a fit Bellamy can make. If we'd had him playing like that in a few of our other away games this season we'd be further clear.

If you guys wouldn't swap your home shirt colour for a massive immediate investment in the squad and sorting out a debt legacy that has plunged the future of the club into doubt every summer in recent memory then good luck to you. As Spakey says your opinion is just that and you're welcome to it.

BUT the vast majority of our fans are very happy with what we've ended up with in terms of ownership. Judging by the amount of racist remarks in some posts the fact our Owners are Asian seems a much bigger deal than the actual details of their investment (credit to the Hull poster who clarified the difference between passion and racisim).

I wouldn't say he was top of the list, but he should be on there. Personally I want Stockdale and Elmo on perm deals first.

I think Cardiff and Leicester are better than us at the minute- they have a better squad and are healthier position money wise, the league shows this. Although that can change, as we know in football.

Don't think Palace have the squad to stay there & will probably burn themselves out.

City fans are getting a little ahead of themselves with all this talk of promotion deciders come May. Some have said Cardiff are bottlers but we';ve lost to Peterborough on home turf ffs. If that isn't bottling it i dunno what is.

I don't mind a bit of optimism, but letting it rule your head another thing.

I dunno if i want to go through the playoffs again. Once was enough.

Yeah and yet we only get 16K every match. Where they all gone?

Half of them were decked out in them tacky yellow t-shirts with "Hull" on the front, that they were flogging down Wembley Way and in Hull City Centre the week before. Bet most of them had one of them ****e half City and half Bristol scarves and all. You could tell a mile off that most of them weren't going to come back when it eventually went tits up for us in the prem.

I'm not talking about the out of town supporters, by the way. I'm on about the people living in Hull that went for a day trip.

Look guys, unless you're very lucky and spot one early, striker prices rise exponentially with their abilty.

Shopping lists are just that. Every manager will have one, and dependant upon depth of pocket, they'll be scrubbed out one by one and the list gets shorter.

If we're talking about purchase rather than a loan, there'd be very few decent Prem strikers currently sitting it out who'd be released without a very fat fee and possibly crippling wage demands.

Loaning a player, whilst often frowned upon by the purists, is the more prudent approach for any club in this division other than those with substantial financial backing and committment from respective owners. Happy to say that ours put their money where their mouths were and invested in the Summer.

We probabaly need an out and out striker as much as you - the only difference is that we have goals coming from all over the park to support our front runners.

Quite apart from Bellamy's absence for half our games so far, if Nicky Maynard (cost us £2.75M in the summer) hadn't torn his cruciates in his 3rd game for us back in September and is out for the season, God knows how far ahead we could be right now.

Best of luck in the search for an effective strker, and as someone above said, it would be really something if we were battling it out for the top spot in that last game.

I really don't think Maynard would have fired you that much higher, I really don't think he's that good. He's decent but I don't get all the hype about him, even wet spam bought him and flogged him 6 months later so they clearly thought he wasn't up to it. I think you could of and should of aimed higher.
