Old 606er here, the far-western sentinel of Bluebird support (that is, a little west of Swansea: Toronto). Only posted now and again on 606 ('cause I leave most of it to all you home-front soldiers), but always loved the banter. This alternative looks smashingly user-friendly. Quite confident it'll be the go-to replacement for 606. Great to see already many of my favourite posters setting up shop here: Sparkey, Prophet, HomeHome, Glam, Pagey, Maesteg, Pontprennau, Taff, the Mole, etc etc. HT sure to come too, along with Concerned, TigerBay, Number, Bennifactor, Clash, Hilts, Opinion, Snaggle, Dinas, TGI(R)F, Danny, and (one sincerely hopes) good old Clingo! (And anyone I've missed mentioning.) Heck, even Mabon. I'm going to check on here just once in a while, until the Beeb's 606 is plug-pulled. Looking forward to more involvement once we've all gathered here for good. Greetings from the Great White North!

I was getting bored of 606 anyway. To moderated. I agree it needs to be to a point but they were far too selective. I'll try and be a bit more constructive on this site. I did have a tendency to post with a rather hot head on the BBC

Yup - this is the one for me for now on. Haven't posted on the Beeb 606 for a few weeks now. It was a good forum ruined by over zealous moderation and bickering posters. It was also home to a number of wannabe journos who bored the arse off me and many others over the years with their excessively long articles and replies. These forums should be for chat, both football and banter, not some proving ground for those with hidden agendas and media career ambitions. Brevity is the soul of wit. By the way, where is saladthedragon these days?..........
