<laugh> No wonder Scott has had a guts full on here with the usual snipers. Considering some of you lot don't like us, why, on these threads, do most of the comments come from the usual few? Are they afraid that some of us can actually get on?

We could have a good laugh if certain posters not mods didn't rule this board.

i'm all for putting bloobs in their place when called for, but i empathise with scott's take on this thread. in general, there's been too much vitriol on these boards this summer particularly in the past couple of weeks, and as a relatively new member it's dampened my enthusiasm not just for posting but reading as well. i'm hoping it's just boredom and as the new season approaches we'll be back to more conducive banter on our beloved swans, but as it stands here and now the forum ain't a great advert for our club.

Well said Honky, I've even had PM's from new posters stating the same, and as such I'm not getting into this one, but our Mods should have removed the offencive posts, from whoever, the thread might be from a Cardiff wum, but we could have handled it with more class in my view, we don't need to go down the Cardiff board route! Good post Honkey........... <applause>

I wasn't able to be online when this kicked off, but, here I am.

P.s. Phil. You talk about offensive posts dampening the forum, but, your one of the worst when it comes to knackeredjack.

First of all I want to say that our mods do a great job in a thankless task. No criticism from me.

As for the rest of it, I agree with Honky. There's far too much personal stuff going on here, both in house and cross board. Time after time we see decent threads derailed because some people have to resort to snide comments and personal stuff. We do not come to this Forum to read that s**t!!

We are here to discuss matters football in general and our Swans in particular. This is not a medium for posters who don't get on, to swap insult upon insult for what seems an interminable length of time - page after boring page of it. We can't agree all the time but when this happens can we not disagree with some sort of grace and move on? I shake my head when I read a post where someone calls another person an idiot, or worse, because of opposing views, as I know that the thread is going to degenerate into yet another slanging match. "I said; no you said; well I said only because you said; but you started it; no I didn't........." :steam: :headbang:

It is not easy to control but in my view the mods should be able to instantly delete any post that contains insulting personal references of any description without any comeback. If someone is unable to accept that they cannot come on here to trade insults then perhaps they should go elsewhere to do it. Either that or the rest of us will be going and that would be a shame.

The problem is ivor that this has NOT been happening, and hence why threads descend into garbage, I've even had Pm's off posters stating why this doesn't happen!............... <ok>

You can't blame the moderators. they're not paid to be on here 24/7 like the BBC 606 moderators were.

The forum is essentially for football banter, but it always degenerates every summer when there's no games on and even during international breaks to some extent.

It's good to get side-tracked from time-to-time and entertaining as well - bit like a TV soap. Unfortunately, how far do you deviate off pure football issues before the mud gets thrown, as it inevitably will. A fine line, which is difficult to define.

The intresting thing here is the amount of people moaning about threads going off track and the content being drivel etc,etc and how its driving people away ..bla bla but some of the people that have made these comments havent bothered to enter into any debate on some of the great football threads on here these last few days!!

A particular thread may not be of any intrest to some, fair enough nothing wrong with not taking part in it, but as soon as there is a nonsense thread posted with a little bit of arguing and banter these same posters cant wait toenter into it and give everyone else an attack of the morals!!

If a thread dont intrest you just dont post on it! you dont bother posting on most other thought out decent threads so why get upset that some muppett from Cardiff gets both barrells on the Jacks board ??

As for scott swan saying " No wonder the boys up the road think we're all tossers. " who seriously gives a **** what a load of bitter bluebirds/redbirds think ?? we all know there are decent folk up the road but most of their posters that visit here are grade one WUM's who wouldnt piss on a Jack if he was on fire, such is their jealous nature.

There are plenty of fantastic articles on our board, there always are,why people like to be attracted to this one and use it as an example of whats wrong on the forum instead of taking part in the other well thought out threads and enjoying whats right about the forum beats me!

Take threads like this for what they are, not serious with no actually debating content, post crap expect crap back..and thats exactly what happened here !!
