Yup, he did a marvellous job with Cornelius' ankle over the five months he was here, and he fixed up Maynard's cruciates just fine last year. Even Fat Sam asked him to sort out Carroll's foot a few months back as a favour but Moody wanted to buy him first.

That Michu bloke of yours would have been back on the pitch within a week if he'd been here under Malky - the guy is obviously having poor treatment down there.

We understand Malky was planning to have a go at Robbie Fowler for the second half of the season, but Vince foolishly pulled the plug before the deal was completed.

Such is life - we'll have to muddle on without MM's magic healing powers.

I seem to remember him making an agreement with Project, if project stopped posting on this board then so would he.
Man of his word it's seems, for all of his idiosyncrasies.

Make no mistake, we needed to win yesterday and weren't good enough, this will be a big blow to the players and manager.
Whether we can turn it around is anyones guess, but I wouldn't put any money on us staying up after yesterdays performance, well below PL level.
Don't get me wrong, the FA cup is renowned for scalp taking and is all about lower teams beating those above them, but it is usually because one team upped their game while the other played below par, neither which happened yesterday.

I can only see championship football next season for us, it would take something rather special to keep us up now, or all others to fail miserably.

I didn't watch the match as I am in Belgium scouting players, I mean visiting relatives <laugh>.. From what I hear though, maybe we should start playing Daehli?

Definitely Jay, the lad is very talented and his style is similar to Luca Modric - comfortable on the ball, has the ability to beat people, always looking for a killer pass while keeping possession with short passes if none available and not afraid to try a shot if on.

He looks a very good player with a lot of potential.

Cala also played well at centre back.

The only 2 bright spots from Saturday I'm afraid.

He was the only real positive for me (tbf Cowie looked quite sharp too). He looks like he'll be best off played through the centre then allowed to roam, rather than stuck out on a wing.

Cowie was more direct than usual, and made some good runs.

Eikrem was ineffectual. No different to Whittingham.

I thought City were unlucky, had majority of possession, and made 3-4 good chances but Beget air kicked one Cala missed an open goal as did Campbell and Noone missed a decent chance from 15 yards. Cala was rugby tackled by Ramis near the end.

    Wigan made Marshall save once.

Wigan's first goal again came from poor KTC defending, and the free kick was a joke - how can a straight shot go in from that distance - no bend or curl? Where was the wall? Daehli was fouled in trying to block it and ref should have disallowed the goal.

Our midfield again limp, too much sideways and backwards from full backs.

Liked to have had the opportunity to play Man City again and should have but not our day.

Don't feel so bad after today's result. Well done Wigan.
