If Brighton had got a goal it would have been as good a weekend as we could have hoped for.

    bloody good anyway.

Celebrating by bottling my first batch of sloe gin. Having to do some quality control as I go along. :emoticon-0105-wink:

My 4-0 prediction would have been safe if we had a striker. <whistle>

Looking at the number of shots Southampton had against Spurs we did a damn good job of closing them down and limiting their attempts today.

Fair play to our back 4, Gunnar (who was superb again today), Victor and Arter.

Etheridge had only 1 save to make. Nice easy afternoon for him.

Total team performance today. Paterson was still chasing around to close them down at the finish. Everyone played their part and NML scared the sh1t out of them first half.

When he is fully fit he can make a real impact. <ok>

The team selected is probably our best X1 of the fit players in the squad.

At long last he dropped Ralls and how effective were our central midfield without him?

NML brought a new dimension as he has pace and strength unlike Hoilett

However if either Zahore recaptures his form (big if) or City land a marquee forward in January then how’s he going to fit in Paterson who’s integral to the team?

Thankfully our wastefulness in front of goal didn’t matter but 3 or 4-0 wouldn’t have been out of order.

I noticed MOD picked up 2 penalty decisions which went our way <whistle>

Oh yes just when is Morrison going to head a goal?<doh>

    Oh yes, I forgot to mention.....36 on, 62 back......kerchink again. :emoticon-0105-wink:

If only Murph or Cammy who both had great chances had stuck one in as well. <doh>

Now then, on to Watford next week. Just had a squint ahead and we're out at 9/2 to win it.

Maybe the City or draw double chance option at 13/10 is the way to go? Seems a pretty decent shout unless you're very brave away from home.

If he sticks the same side out, I'd fancy us for a point at least.
We'll sneak an away win before long.
Whilst we're not putting them away, we seem to be creating more chances now.

I’m half glass empty on our away form. Watford should be too good for us going forward but if city play as well as they did yesterday on the break against another average defensive outfit maybe just maybe we’ll bag a point.

Mick Channon is a horse racing trainer. They should bring him in as defensive coach to see if hes any good with donkeys.

Their main site is even funnier. Apparently we are a mid table championship side. Stupid tw@ts.

They are so touchy, with one or two exceptions.

Was just told "toodle pip" instead of f off. Very polite. Lol!!!

Said I would go and watch Harry on Celebrity instead.

lol, so what does that make them?

i'm quite happy being the underdog and being seen to punch above our weight. That's what we are and what we are doing. At least we're not deluding ourselves.
It might be enough or it might not.

If Colin can get one or two quality players in come January, we may be a little bit more.

They're another sensitive lot on the Saints board.

Sparkey has been called sexist (never <whistle>) and now we are "Cardiff" types and foolish.

I have asked for an explanation and suggested they are Cardiffist. Blue touch paper lit.

Most amusement on another teams board for a while.
    They are a touchy lot.
Still worry that them and Fulham could come good under new managers though.
Hey, ho, take it whilst it's there.

Nearly mentioned it myself. Surely there can't be two of them.
Either that or the brizzle vicar is on sabbatical.
Seems to be working itself out though.

Aye - I think one or two of them were getting a bit precious about the forum chat.

They like to think they can say what they want on "their" forum without being challenged - and I love a good challenge....<laugh>

And I always had you down as the shy retiring type Sparkey.

On another topic, the Fulham board is quiet even by their standards.
Had a respectful visit, but only tumbleweed.
