I think the 'thinness' of our squad is starting to show. January can't come quick enough. We need a bit more cover. Both Cowie and Conway have been great for us but seem to be getting heavy legged as the season goes on. They have a lot of game time under their belt. Saying that, if at the start of the season someone had offered me top 6 at Christmas I'd have bit their hand off.
We had chances to equalize at the end.....Right..well.. disappointing to give up a 2-1 lead. Still this has reinforced my view that we are a top 8 side who are playing as well as we can at the moment and punching above our weight. We need a couple more players if we want to make the playoffs. I wanted to believe but not yet.
The pressure of the unbeaten run is off. Disappointed with the result but sounded a reasonable performance. Cheers Siam.
i knew this game could be one step too far for us. boro are a good team and its clear new blood is needed, or we'll continue to struggle, thats not a criticism of anyone, just that with the demands of the championship its a tough ask to have the same people performing every week, there must be options if certain players have an off game and the squad isnt there atm.
