Ref tonight is Steve Martin; last reffed us at home v Forest<doh>

Can’t recall but he must have turned down a stonewall penalty for us.<whistle>

So, Harris has shuffled the Pack then... (see what I did there?).

Surprised Jnr has dropped to the bench but I guess we have lots of games in a short space still to go.

    Agree; using the squad.

Surprise to see Uncle playing when he goes back to Forest tomorrow?

    Looks like sensible changes.
    Good use of the squad.
Suppose you might as well use unc. Less miles in junior's legs.

Cant get used to these kick off times. Was expecting it to be 7.45.

Slow start by us. Missing Vaulks' energy and ball carrying - and long throws.

Can only assume he's carrying a knock.

    Has the game started yet<whistle>

Doubt there has been a worse first half anywhere ever.

Say this every week but God we’re average. This game is resting heavily on Tomlin to do something when he comes on <wah>

Not good. Harris needs to sort this out.

This is shocking. What is he thinking with Pack?

Bowyer has them very well organised. We are actually missing Glatzel. The game is passing Paterson by.

2 good chances for Adomah and Hoilett but didn't take them.

Charlton came for a point. Harris must have known that yet picked the wrong team. Pack is so slow. Why bring on Tomlin and not pass to him.
Unfortunate for Glatzel but he wouldn’t have made any difference.
That was a pen wasn’t it?

ps If I was the Forest manager I’d say you can keep Adomah as he is so ineffective it’s like playing with 10 men.

    Bit harsh Nin.

Agree about Pack, slows everything up. Our equivalent of the old Spurs player, Vinnie Sideways. I can only assume Vaulks was not 100% fit.

Glatzel was doing okay, linking well and posing some questions for their defence. Pato didn't even turn up for the test. So slow.

No not a pen the push was just outside the box.

Adomah tried but not up to it although came closest to scoring for us and their keeper had to save it. Hoilett should have hit the target at least. He played poorly when he came on.

NML wasn't at the races. You know it's not working when he gets his head down and tries to run through them.

With no Murphy or Ward, Whyte was the only other attacking option - or Bamba maybe. If fit he would be more effective up top than Pato on current form.

A poor night at the office but a point is better than none. Apart from one spell early second half we didn't look like conceding. They couldn't start the buses to get them out of their half.

Still 18 points to play for.

Charlton didn’t have one effort on target from memory but could have snatched all 3 but for a superb block by Nelson.

BTW if the game was still going on it’d still be 0-0

A dour game last night but 1 point closer to the play-offs

The next 4 games will see how far we have improved under Harris.

    Come on you Bluebirds.

Dour indeed Dai, and it needn't have been. If we'd seriously gone for an early goal it would have been so much better to watch. As it was we played into their hands and they didn't have to do a lot to take a point back up the M4 and deprive us of two.

There's more than one reason why we didn't function properly last night, but the inclusion of the wrong bloke (Pack) for the wrong game (Charlton looking for a point) was crucial. Everything slows down when he's on the ball and that wasn't the way to break them down.

Building from the back has it's merits particularly with the purists, but that allowed them to funnel back into shape - Bowyer got it spot on. Unless you've got super skills up front you wont turn and get behind them when they hold a shape.

The much maligned direct game with quick passing forward to willing runners was the way to go - if Ward was fit he could have played a big part in that game. They stifled us and we blew it throwing away 2 points by trying to play through them rather than over them - I never thought I'd say that. <doh>

OS I totally agree. I made some points on this game on the Top 6 thread earlier this morning.
I hope he picks a different team v Bristol (he’ll have to as Uncle can’t play) but concerned at Glatzels injury if he had concussion? Paterson<doh>

To be fair to Harris we are playing so many games we dont know how fit everyone is so maybe thats why Pack was selected before Tomlin who really should be starting at home v Charlton.

Has Ward left? Because we could do with him.

Ward has signed a short term contract extension until the offical end of the season so he is available (if fit).

Don't know why he wasn't on the bench at least for a home game against a side like Charlton who we knew exactly what they were going to do.
