Why - d'you miss me?......... Not staying away deliberately Supcon. Never post in the evenings - I've others to consider whereas the days are usually my own. As far as the game went, we couldn't score and you did. Not phased by that at all - dissappointed yes, but surprised, no. We've played worse and won, and you've probably played better and lost - best of luck to you, c'est la vie. Exactly the same result as last year's fixture at the same time of the year too - I think Brownhill got the goal. If I remember correctly though, at the end of the season we finished in the playoffs and you didn't.
Nor do I, I thought the ref was gullible at times the booking of Martin was ridiculous Ojo blatantly dived. Also I thought Wilson was lucky in his collision with Bentley I thought his foot was high luckily for him Bentley never made a meal of it.
Great result - obviously Cardiff deserved more out of the game, but then so did we at Ashton Gate in LJ's last game - that's football! It was hard for the ref to see the Wilson challenge - he may have been in trouble if VAR was in place. Thought Callum had a really good game
I agree with most of your post especially the Wilson challenge, but also credit Bentley who never made a meal of it. The last sentence I cannot agree with, I thought he was misplacing simple passes, I am struggling to recall a run where he wasn't dispossessed and I thought his tackling was weak, especially around our area, again playing him and Paterson together renders the midfield impotent.
O'dowda looks the part, runs with the ball but gets dispossessed or passes to the opposition to often. He's so frustrating. Thought Hunt and Nagy did well last night. Fingers crossed our injured players are back or ASAP after the break.
I must confess I was a bit questionable over the challenge by Wilson because he was over the top and thankfully common sense prevailed. Could it be reviewed after the fact and a yellow card issued to Wilson for dangerous play? No big deal really. Callum O'Dowda seemed to run well with the ball and then finally vanish up his own backside and gave the ball away too many times which he needs to rid from his game.
Think he will be top Eight come the end. Not bad for a side for the last few seasons that have struggled big time.
Yeah O’Dowda was ok last night but all too often he gets the ball, sprints as far as he can go, sees a defender, turns around and loses it. Time after time. A really frustrating player
When he tripped up himself, with no other player around and tried getting a foul for it was hilarious
well the dust settles and we have come off reasonably well …. 4th on points 5th on GD almost a quarter of the season gone be nice to think we may finish on " don't want to jinx it points! " lol
we won fantastic result hard fought three points.Under the previous manager we would have lost that game. Neil Warnock say all like about him but the guy does the business in the championship as we all now.
Great result boys I've been (rightly) very critical of Bentley over the past season, but recently he's been excellent.
