Nothing to loose here really imo. Go with a super strong side. Either knock them out and get rid of the biggest competition early or get knocked out and move on with one less competition to take our attention away from the League / Champs league.
Beat them and they'll draw Liverpool away next. I suppose it doesn't matter its probably best to go out of the cups early.
Does that mean you're taking a screenshot of summat? We had to rely on Soton putting them out last season and we still couldn't win it, so better we play them earlier rather than getting twatted by a full strength team in the final.

If we're being realistic this side isn't good enough to win a cup and we saw that in the cup final last season.
Totally disagree, win the Carabao, and I wouldn't really care about the league as long as we stay up. Last season shows us that it's by far our best chance of success.
You're saying they'll only stay for the Champions League? Then they'll be a huge chance of that anyway cos getting 4th again will be much tougher this year. Plus Bruno signed when we had no chance of CL and Isak when their were no guarantees.
I just think this is a good opportunity to knock them out and clear the biggest obstacle in the way of winning it so we should go for it. Then as you say if we loose then no bother really we've been beat by the best team out there and at least we haven't wasted a load of effort to get knocked out later on in the comp.
No problem with this. Win and there's nobody for us to fear on our way to a first trophy since the Fairs Cup. Lose and we can focus on other competitions. We don't have the squad to fight on all fronts this year. Worst scenario is getting to the final, exhausting/injuring players and but not winning a trophy.
