A good chance to see if all the claims about how wonderful the cycle lanes are and how we don't need cars as we can use public transport are true. Somehow after midnight or at 5 in the morning on a rainy, windy winter's day I don't think they will be.
 
Fairly sure he would be saying those things on the advice of (expensive) legal consultations, but FFS that's embarrassing .
PR was never an Allam strong point.
I know of a similar case on the same stretch of road and the driver had the same number of points stacked up for previous offences. Only that this fella was doing 120mph and over took an unmarked police car.
He got himself a good solicitor ( City fan too) and got off without a ban, £1k fine and the case never made the HDM.

Maybe the warnings started flashing when all replies were in crayon.
