I don't think there's anything wrong with some healthy competition and I'm sure a new keeper will have to wait his turn. We aren't going to bench Boruc for the first game of the season after how well he performed last season.

He wasn't brilliant. Not bad by any means either, but an average Premier League goalkeeper with a higher than average level of erraticism.

Well we might if a new keeper out performs him in pre-season friendlies and training.

I thought actually that he was brilliant on occasions, but as you say, far too erratic. He saved us points and he cost us points so I suppose that does make him average but not in the usual way!

I still wonder if he hadn't done a 'Boruc' at Arsenal and we'd scraped a draw, whether our season might have been even better.
 
I'd guess at Prowsey for one of them. He became the club's poster boy basically as soon as he made the first team.
