You do have a knack though of picking up useful young players from non-league clubs, or other team's reserve sides, and turning them into useful goalscoring strikers
we need another now Mind you it has been a joy to watch them play & develop ..... we have had some really talent
was a good game, atmosphere was a little lacking at times, but with less than 8k in the park its not surprising. The lads played really well against a well organised posh side, I love watching furguson, he is defo one of the most animated managers to watch The biggest plus for me, was apart from a couple of wayward passes that put us under needless pressure, we locked more than comfortable......and Jones in goal looks the part, big, strong and vocal........my kind of keeper! We may......just may have a bright season to look forward to
So we will play one of the below teams, that much is certain: 1. AFC Bournemouth 2. Aston Villa 3. Bolton Wanderers 4. Brighton & Hove Albion 5. Burnley 6. Crystal Palace 7. Derby County 8. Fulham 9. Leeds United 10. Leicester City 11. Manchester United 12. Middlesbrough 13. Newcastle United 14. Norwich City 15. Nottingham Forest 16. Queens Park Rangers 17. Reading 18. Southampton 19. Stoke City 20. Sunderland 21. Swansea City 22. Watford 23. West Bromwich Albion 24. West Ham United 25. Cardiff City or Sheffield Wednesday* (if Sheffield win, they won't be seeded so we probably wouldn't play them) Who do you want us to get? I'm hoping anyone but Bournemouth or Brighton. Bournemouth would be particularly upsetting.
What about QPR at Fratton Park, with the return of Harry Redknapp, Joe Jordan, Kevin Bond, and ............Glen Hoddle !
Stoke away! Shame it's not at home, although I doubt I'd have gone to it either way.... might have been on TV though!
At least with Stoke, they have ex Pompey youngsters Asmir Begovic & Mark Wilson playing for them, plus a couple of former Pompey Academy kids.
