Yeah agreed, he's hinted at numerous interviews in the past that should he get offered the England job he would have to say yes. Also to look at Redknapp he looks pretty damn unhealthym, I cant see him lasting too much longer in the game. if he turns down the oppurtunity now he probably wont get another chance.
Spurs bashing aside I want what's best for England. What I find astonishing is that just 4 months from a Euro championship we're without a captain and manager. I sympathise with Capello because as manager he should have the authority to decide who is captain and he clearly saw the FA's decision as a intrusion, the FA wil be made to look absolute idiots if Terry is found innocent and lets face it, if 'Arry's brief can get him off then anything's possible ! 'Arry is the right man for England, always has been, only other manager who would do a good job is O'Neill and there seems such pressure on giving it to an Englishman that I'm sure O'Neill will be considered. I know he didn't get it before because he was asked during interview what he would do to influence grass roots football - he replied politley or otherwise, 'what the **** has that got to do with the National manager ? and I make him right. Get 'Arry in now, even if it's along side his position at Tottenham, but for England's sake he has to be in charge ASAP, waiting until May won't help, you can't go into Euro championships with just 2/3 weeks familiarisation....
He admitted in court (and indeed used as a central plank of his defence) that he sees no problem in lying to journalists.
