He was an good player and he seems like a good bloke.

I'm sure he will get an excellent reception when he comes back.

We always welcome our own back, unless they leave in less than favourable conditions, eh Fernando? Michael?

My fav player when he was here.

Always loved him, Murphy and Carra!

Legends (although Murphy pushed it recently with his comments)

    D4arms.
Liverpool fans in Cardiff in 2003 showed up Man United fans.Liverpool fans had wit and originality ie the ''Don't bomb Iraq-Nuke Manchester'' banner.....Man United fans had a Union Jack with MUFC written on it.
One of my favourite banners was this.
    He put Nedved to bed.
    He kept Eidur down.
    Now Shevchenko can't sleep
    Cos Carras in in town.
Only Liverpool fans can come up with stuff like that and always have.
It was always the way...this is one of the most famous.
    He ate the frogs legs.
    He made the swiss roll.
    Now Joeys munching gladbach

Top man.Scored some of the best goals ever seen for us topped off with THAT free kick against Manure that almost took the goal into the manure fans.
Rafa seemed to blame him when he scored the OG against Chelski and once Rafa had it in for you then pack your bags.Wasn't the greatest of defenders but made up for that with his forward runs and cannon of a left foot.
Good to see him back in the Prem would have welcomed him back at Liverpool but for his age.

Do you remember I think it was the 2001/2002,season he scored a wonder goal in the derby in a 3-1 win.Gerrard equalised after Kevin Campbell opened the scoring. He also scored against Bayern Munich in the Super Cup,it was a stadium he was used to as he was an ex Monaco player.
I read something once that when he was with Monaco he was banned by his then manager Jean Tigana from taking pot shots at goal...because he once broke two of Fabian Barthezs' fingers by blasting the ball at him.

Can't remember that one but the one against Chelski in the league cup final where he ran over 1/2 the length of the field before smashing it passed Chech was another exaple of his power and finishing going forward.Probably the best attacking/goal scoring left back since alan kennedy and certainly since the premier league started.

The irony of it.! Do you know that Riisa was Fulham bound when we hijacked it and signed him for Liverpool.? <oK>
