I also think it would be bad football business to sell DG in this window especially to direct rivals. It's not like we need the cash is it? We have plenty of real fringe players that will never get near the starting 11 to put in the shop window and free up some money if needed. Keep Danny for now and if he's still appears unhappy at the end of the season he can go with my thanks and good wishes.
Or sell him for £5 million, and for a couple of million more we could get the Spanish striker we are being linked with. A couple of extra million more for hopefully an upgrade. If Laudrup rates the Spanish dude, then bring it on.
It looks like its shaping up that way, sell DG to finance a bigger signing ..hope im wrong though, i like dg and he has done well for us since coming to the club. Having watched the Villa game again i have to say he should have buried that chance pablo put on for him, he scored in the last minute to win us a point though and we must be thankful for that plucky performance from him. If DG goes then i expect us to have a good player coming in and by that i mean one who should be the cats whiskers, if it doesnt come off Laudrup will take some flak but if it does then Laudrup would have proved to me he has this managers game in his back pocket. It will be intresting to see how this unfolds. In Laudrup i trust on this one but i would be sorry to see DG go, he is proven at championship and premier level and these players dont grow on trees !! at least not for £3,5m quid they dont !
