This looks like a pretty good forum. I joined it (after lurking for a while) because people seemed reasonable and there's little of the trolling, flaming and girlie bickering of the sort you see on Saints Web. I hope it stays that way. Having a difference of opinion is great, it makes a healthy debate, but being rude and sarcastic to each other is just stupid and pointless.
I think saintadam makes a good point and it's been missed judging by some of the replies.(Although Adam, I think you have to learn to tell the difference between a leg pull and an insult). He's not complaining about people who disagree with a point of veiw more a case of how they do it. Some of the articles that have started as good natured and entertaining have degenerated into puerile nonsense. The after match article with the Leicester fans is just one example. Some of the comments on there from our own posters were just embarrassing and although I wouldn't want this forum to be policed like the old 606, I think some people need to be reeled in by the mods.
I have been a bit guilty of this before. It's fine to say "I disagree with you" but a bit too easy to add "you ______" to the end. By the way I really think the mods do a great job, it's not easy trying to get along with everyone but putting your foot down at the right time, so well done all.
It's always difficult to be out of step with the times. If we were bottom and struggling, anyone who posted a positive thread would be shot down. Just have to remember to disagree but respect others opinions. Sometimes responses can be out of proportion to what has been said.

I don't mind critical articles, I like hearing others opinions, I have a few gripes & I'll moan till the cows....well you know, anyway, the one thing that has been getting on my tits recently is, people slagging off N.C (& N.A but less so) about not splashing the cash, blowing the budget, breaking the Rory record. Some of the names banded around like Beckford, Maynard...the Yak are just laughable. Its like some people demand success at any price, lets roll the dice like we did a few years ago, maybe it will pay off this time? I'm so glad we have a man at the top willing to say, "No." Sometimes thats necessary, but definitely when it concerns our club blowing £4Million on a championship player just to appease some fans. I've been banging this drum for a while now, but I'll give it one more go. Continuity is worth far more than one big shot player coming in & not understanding what we have been building. I'd rather have this squad & lose a few games then risk all the hard work. The CB issue has been addressed, how well, we shall see. But give Nic a break, we've spent money, just not frivolously on the last day......thank god. S
