For some reason, we played one up front and Holt is not the type of player to play up front by himself. Although, he couldn't of done any worse. I won't ever critisise Lambert as I'm not a manager and he is God. However, for me, today was not the day to play one up front. We caused them more problems within five minutes of having two men up front than the previous forty-five minutes. Sure, they opened us up on a few occasions, but that was mostly down to our very poor defending. Defend like that next week and we could get close to our heaviest defeat of the season.
maybe he was testing morrison out, again tinkering with next season in mind. if that's the case, i don't understand it. i would have gone with holt and vaughn up front again like vs blackburn. i really hope we get a positive result out of one of the last two games.

For me that is exactly the problem we were undone by 3 individual performances. Gerrard and Bellamy were very good, and Suarez was flawless, but if you had 11 men playing that well you'd of had double figures!
