Actually Chazz he is a pretty good ball winning centre-half and also dangerous in the opposition box .. possibly also dangerous in the manager's daughter's box (rumour) ... which might explain the reported bust-up, head-butting incident (again all rumour)...

His distribution however is dire if asked to pass more than 10 yards ... he could still be very effective in a back four where he is simply asked to defend and then pass the ball along the back four ...

Whatever arguments hull fans make pro bruce they will change their minds shortly. There were even pro Bruce fans at Sunderland they became known as 'the happy clappers'. Bruce is ****, get rid as soon as you can.

MON is not doing that good either. One win in 5 PL games ? looks like a season of struggle for the mackems.
    See you next season.

I'm not sure what you think your rather tedious posts will achieve, we didn't appoint Bruce, nor will we decide if he stays or goes and he certainly won't be going anywhere any time soon.

I still say that up until VERY recently, like the last 20-30 years, Sunderland were all called geordies too. This 'mackem' nonsense was just invented because they didn't like being just a poor suburb of Gateshead.

There was a programme about it not so long back. Quite sad really.

Invented years ago but really came into the public by the Geordies after the 9-1 away win at Newcastle. Sunderland can make and tak their chances 'makem, takem'. shortened to makem. What are hull known as btw? Just the tigers?

Isnt the statue outside your ground of a skinny Geordie bastard?? The last bloke to give you any fleeting success? Thoughts on him?

Of all the options that were on the programme about you Geordies, that version wasn't offered for the origin of that silly name. The favoured one was attributed to a reporter talking about the shipyards.

I don't think you're actually from the north east at all.

Alot of Sunderland fans are Geordies, so he's talking our his arse. You're only a Mackem if you're from the city itself.

They get alot of fans from all around County Durham and North/ South Tyneside, and anyone from the Tyneside region is a Geordie.

Didn't Sunderland beat perpetual strugglers and 10 man Wigan with their only shot on target in 90 minutes and that coming from the only player, who has scored for you this season and as a result of a mishit shot. Must be really exciting football under MON.

Sunderland are a **** team, **** fans, **** player, **** manager. I'd stick £100 on us to beat you if we played each other this weekend. We are enjoying our Cheryl cole lookalike football whilst you lot are watching crap.

    Yorkshire's No.1
    Pride of Humberside
    But usually the Tigers.

Not quite as intimidating or catchy as 'the Rokerites' or the 'Black Cats' (titter)

In view of your being in Newcastle's shadow, how about the 'Shadowmen'?

i'll tell you what. try this. take your best defender and your leading scorer from last season. now make it so the leading scorer won't play at all this season and the defender will miss half the season.

now blame your manager for this state of affairs.

let us know how that goes.
