We made a meal out of getting promoted, not that I'm overly bothered but there you go. We've not got many players who hugely shone this season and just have a very good championship squad. There are a handful of players who we are unlikely to retain (Gouffran, Anita, etc) who are worthy of a title challenging team at that level, it's not an opinion it's simply that they have been solid and consistent performers in a title challenging team this year. If the boot was on the other foot I would want my manager to be considering them. What Rafa did do well was instill the idea of not getting ahead of ourselves, focus on getting a challenging championship team together first. Our youngsters have mostly (in my eyes) disappointed. Perez, Mitro, Aarons and a handful of others should have taken this season to show they are too good for the Championship - they simply achieved in showing that they are average at that level.
Thanks -a relief but what we need most is a manager with ideally - a positive mindset, motivational and tactically aware - he needs to build a rapport with fans and to communicate well on all levels. Now who has those qualities ?
