That penalty final was outstanding. Good buddy of mine and season ticket holder was in the US at a wedding (or something) and I text him the shoot out. Name of penalty taker {send} goal/miss/save {send} etc. After Drogba's, he had sent me 5 before I'd sent one. I was dancing and singing so much (completely out of control) that I'd forgotten to text him the result. Although really nerve wracking, it was bloody amazing. That said, I would love to go out and do the business good and proper tonight. If we do make the final, that is going to be as tough as hell. One game at a time.
I don't think you can beat a shoot out win cos win or lose is definite with that final kick - the ultimate drama. Seemed the world stopped for those few moments before Drogs stuck it in. Remember thinking why he wasn't having more of a run up. I still think that every time I watch it back and I know he scores!
That game still chokes me up, remebering how much Drogba was involved. Scored our equaliser, gave away a penalty that Ex-Chelsea player Robben had saved by Cech, then scoring the final one to win the game. Proper emotional......not sure I could go through all that again!
JT confimed to startin yesterday's press conference. Reckon he may start Eto'o if fit, as he can knick goals in tight games and lots of experience. Rambo did well closing their best player, Koke down, from wide right, in the first leg. But with Matic Mikel Lamps available, he may have to hold with Luiz and Rambo Luiz owes us a decent 90 mins from central midfield. Let's hope he can repeat his discipline v City rather tham lunacy v Palace and PSG in Paris. And David, please don't injure any more captains or keepers. Or get booked!
That whole run was a journey of epic proportions. Valencia, Napoli, Benfica, Barca, Bayern. Amazing. So many times we were nearly done.
Yeah, I re-watched "the route to Munich" (or whatever it was called) on Chelsea TV not so long ago - very emotional. You forget so much. Just 2 years ago, Kalou, Mata, Malouda. Add to that, Bertrand playing LM in front of Cole. First ever european game, barely played for Chelsea and had a stormer. Don't forget though.....it's just a game!

I watched it, you didn't create much tbh, neither did Atletico until you scored. Then Atletico where phenomenal after that, and deserved they're goals
