Well we obviously didn't sort the mess before Watford, and in fact created even more mess through gross stupidity. Same as always, wrong starting 11, too slow with subs, then wrong subs used. You have to think Conte is doing it deliberately, he surely can't be that stupid??

We had one of those in Avram Grant, that didn't last either. No the problem is Abramovich uses the Club as his trinket, which is his right. He's filled the crucial positions with hopelessly inept people, except the accountants, and like "the very stable genius", thinks he knows better than everyone else.
Nothing will change, because we keep winning stuff, we keep making a profit, and RA is having fun and can hang out with all the Football big wigs.

So you think it's Roman that has caused the players to down tools on the last 2 title winning managers?
Sorry, the problem is in the dressing room. Maybe that is Romans fault for not giving his managers the power to stop it.

How can players down the tools when Conte himself picked Fabregas more than 16 times to start for us??

    Conte is not interested..

I don't get this players downing tool.

personally I have been pissed off multiple times in my professional life. I don't let that reflect in my team.
I walk away from that engagement before things go south.

But modern managers are not like that.

    I blame Conte 100%

I don't get this "downed the tools " stuff anymore now than with Jose.
Both he and Conte sent out dumb selections and played favourites far too often. When half the team know they won't be able to play their game because of the set up, it's no surprise they don' play their game nor play well. Is Conte making these selections deliberately?? I am leaning towards a yes on that.
Look at the bigger ,ever recurring situation. Every manager gets sold a crock of **** about back up and transfers etc, all the best talent gets shivied off usually without being given a shot, every manager has to deal with some RA appointee with **** all knowledge but seniority over the manager with selections. most if not all are syncophants and/or Russian friends.
Is RA completely stupid? Of course not, he just doesn't give a flying ****, it's his Club he'll do whatever he wants and fire anyone he wants. He has no football- intellegent advisors, and any who were there have gone, like Steve Clark and Ray Wilkins. One word out of place that earns his displeasure and say goodbye.
I think Roman prefers the associated glory of his big name players more than his big name Managers, and cosies up on the side of the players every time. What's another manager to RA? That's what I think, but like everyone else, only one man knows.

So we started a right back at left back and started with no striker despite having signed a left back and a striker in the Jan window.

    What the actually ****??!

I find Conte's team selections of late utter baffling. Why take off the industrious and mobile Willian and replace him with Fabregas when down by a man? Why not start with Giroud when the Hazard up top is clearly a dud?

Why persist with Bayayoko game after game? The kid needs to be taken out of the firing line. Worst 30 minutes I can remember from a Chelsea player for years.

His interviews are of a man asking to be sacked frankly. He must be on a good pay off.

HAAAAAA !!!!!! Love it, talk about Karma, soon as he rubbishes "Cescy" and praises Bakayoko, poor old Bakaloser implodes.
"i know my stuff" will surely rival "The Spurs Jugganaut" as the quote of the century.
Been a defender of Stan for a long time, but he's straining the friendship with some pretty weird stuff.

Read my comments . asked for Drinkwater instead of Baka after the start.

Baka is made to look like Mikel. But he is more like Ramires.

I blame Conte for Baka & Morata' s plight.

Conte Out sooner better for all.

Cant blame Conte for Baka not being able to trap a bag of cement or for Morata missing a hat trick of chances v Arsenal. At some point players have to take responsibility.

dunno where barkley was but easily put in drinkwater but if you want to go for somethign a bit different, hudson or ampadu who have both looked really good (not even a really good for a youth player) in the first team when they have played. Both have legs, both are hungry and both are good physically

agreed but morata was 1 (or 2 games at most). He's been out since and Contes persistence with Hazard up top and Baka in midfield is his fault.

I don't think we should be sacking Conte but he needs to buck up his ideas
