Who would have thought Tranmere would be this close to going out of the league. Hartlepool were 20-1 to stay up about 3 months ago.
It seems to me that Andy Awford did his usual thing of defending a 1 goal lead when he took Tubbs off and replaced him with Hollands - we went too deep again.
From what I heard on Express FM, we were well and truly in control for the entire second half, until Matt Tubbs was withdrawn. Attack is the best form of defence as they say. Well, they all say it except for Awfs.......
Actually people.......having made that arduos trip up to lancs....I can confirm apart from the first two mins pompey were well in control of the game, particularly the first half and really what we are guilty of is not finishing them off! Most of the players gave it good, for the cause, and unfortunate injury's and some dreadful reffing were to be our down fall........we were well worthy of the win, and Carlisle were lucky if not dogged to get their goal, but we really can feel robbed on that one....... If I had a beef with awfs.....as I often do......again, it would be his choice of subs.......no Ertl and co.....seasoned pros who you know will do a job.....and in light of other injury's for me he would have been first on the bus for the journey?!!!!!!! For me, its the poor decisions that will see him gone in the summer........
