We're both correct in so much as "if we win our two remaining games" is a very large "small problem" and heavily depends on Luton's results. See posts # 196 and # 213 in the "REMAINING FIXTURES..." thread
No matter if we win 2 games or not, if Charlton or Wigan match our results we're down, So no, it's not in our hands. And unless boy wonder accepts we're in dire need of some experience and guts in terms of senior pros and management structure next season, despite the promising league 1 talent we have we'll be in league 2 this time next year also. Can't develop talent without knowhow and leadership to bring it through. And we've got toss-all.
Well we are comfortably the worst form team in the entire football league. We just have to beat Luton and Cardiff this week to survive in the Championship. That’s only two games in a row. Every team can do that at least once in half a season. The manager was that busy working on the defence that he couldn’t do a presser. The defence coach was that stuck for a job that he could (despite leaking 7 in one half only two days before). They both forgot we didn’t score either. What could go wrong ? City to win both. Keep your chins up. The good thing about failure at football though is that success is always sweeter after a **** patch. It will come again.
Do you think Leeds will do us a favour and put on a show vs charlton? There'll still have an hangover. This has got away win written all over it!
The Allams may be the current owners but they won’t last for ever. They have demonstrated ably that they don’t have the heart and soul that Hull City fans have by all their **** tricks. When they have departed at whatever time that is we will get another owner in who cares about the club and the fans, it’s just Yin and Yang.
Leeds will want to win the league, but it doesn't really matter. Charlton will most likely scrap and get the same or more points than we will anyway. They're a better team than we are. So are Luton and Barnsley.
They did it a few years ago on the last day of the season by beating Watford away while we were missing a penalty, giving a penalty away(they scored) and drawing at home 2-2 with Cardiff. Deja Vu. My last visit to the KCom. Bowyer ( that unwholesome fella) is an ex Leeds man. He could be bribed
Two wins as far fetched as this is from City, would be fine. It's not just Charlton, three teams are on 50 points and I can see Stoke getting diddly squat from their games against Brentford and away at Forest. Realistically a 5% chance on our form or maybe we should just pray or genuflect to some idol that will hex our opponents.
Whats this about EFL investigations into massive club, and Derby. If the other 20 clubs get points reductions, we could make the play-offs, yet!
Looks like Charlton are all out attack. It would be nice to have a manager that adjusts tactics to suit the occasion.
So, if Wigan only draw today, or even lose, and we win, it's possible that the team that beat us 8-0 ends up getting relegated rather than us!! How crazy would that be!!
